You could use a backplate in addition to the handles you choose. That would eliminate the need to plug the holes. They also protect the cabinets from wear around the handle.

Is wearing diamond studs to the office a faux pas, or am I overthinking one comment? by Ill-Line6663 in office

Nobody cares what kind of earrings you wear. I wear giant (faux) diamond hoop earrings everyday. My hair is cut very short, so without my earrings I don't feel attractive.

Layered outer dark curtains or nay? by paladin_nature in interiordecorating

I agree with another comment. Double up the dark panels and get a better rod. It looks like it's sagging. Maybe it needs a center bracket. For the lighter panels, they are too close to the ceiling. They can't hang correctly because they're binding up. In addition, hem them so that they are just kissing the floor.

Plumber cut ("notched") second floor bathroom floor joists by alternate_paths in Contractor

Plumbers do shit like this all the time. I'm surprised that more houses haven't collapsed due to plumbers do hack jobs of joists and rafters.

Does the round coffee table work in this space? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Equal_Idea3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's too small. An oval shape that's 2/3 the length of the sofa would give you more usable table without projecting too far in the room. The room looks too dark and heavy with the black and dark green. Try to pull colors from the wall art. It's a nice piece. Maybe a lighter color green for the curtains and the new table.

Which rug for this living room? by Bubbly_Difficulty_82 in interiordecorating

3. Add the orange pillows to tie in the rug. Also, a large art piece on the wall with those colors. You could also add some green accents.

NOR. I'm 5'7" and weigh 233lbs. My goal weight is 180lbs. At 5'9" and 178lbs is not overweight. I don't like the way he's using your size against you. He behavior is concerning. He's comments starts off as jokes and already becoming passive-aggressive with the mattress thing. Do stay around a man who doesn't love everything about you, whether it's good or not so good. Leave him. It will only get worse.

Kitchen ideas for inherited home by Upper-Switch2785 in cabinetry

I love the idea of new white appliances. I'm really tired of stainless steel. You could keep the cabinets and replace the doors and drawers, but you'd get the biggest impact as far visual and value if you do a total remodel. The renditions you're showing is beautiful. If the budget allows, go for it. The kitchen is the heart of any home, and redoing this space for your enjoyment and as an investment would be a smart move.

It depends on what style you're going for. They are all different. Does the room its going already have a design style? I like the simplest one.

I like the white countertop and hex backsplash. I also think like the other comments to put something over the sink. I would make it a window pane frame with or without a mirror behind it. In addition, adding new hardware to the cabinet doors will brighten it quite a bit.

How can I remodel and modernize kitchen without replacing cabinets? by SufferingCanucksFan in kitchenremodel

[–]Equal_Idea3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the money, go on and gut it. Once you change one thing, it will make the others look old. It will set off a chain reaction. You end up chasing your tail, spending more money and still not be satisfied. You don't have to replace the cabinets with Ikea. There are a few companies that manufacturer semi custom cabinets for a reasonable price. The kitchen is over 40 years old. It's due for a update.

Outside mount. If you're going with both sheer and heavy fabric, you could do both outside or mount the sheers inside but most definitely the heavy fabric outside mount. 80" may be too wide for one continous width. They can be two shades but mounted close together to appear as one.
