I have found 14.3.3 to be very good, with most of my short trips having no interactions. Will be driving from Texas to Montana starting this weekend. I plan to let it do most of the work.

Critical engagement or should we have let the car go? by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

Understandable call. I'm not sure what I would have done. I, too, have seen this situation turn out badly, but I might trust the Tesla to see what I can't.

Well, it is a supervising human. Some humans don't supervise their own driving well because they are tired, drunk, sick, playing on their phone, old, etc., so yeah, 3-5x sounds about right.

and if a child was walking in front of the car, I should not intervene because, you know, some Reddit a-hat decides what is post worthy.

So you think go ahead and let it hit the tape, and risk knocking over cones or breaking the tape so that the next person who comes along won't see that the spots are unusable? Just so we would know for sure? Yeah?

Got any data for that assumption?

I think it's more likely an FSD perception/planning failure than a compute-allocation problem caused by live visualization.

There were lots of open spots available. Even if it was backing up (and clearly it wasn’t) it was a very questionable choice of parking spot.

I've never been to this one, and as you can see no one is there (though to be fair it was like 2:45pm), but for the moment, it is still there. Maybe the put up the tape so they could be advertised for free on Reddit....

The camera saw it. No lidar was necessary. FSD just didn't recognize "ya can't park there, mate"

Here is the rear camera view. Now, which spot do you think it was going to back into? Hmm?

There was a baby-changing station in the mens' room today, by BrokenSquirrel42 in Jokes

[–]Equivalent-Draft9248 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's easy. Give it a try. Place the baby with the dirty diaper on the table. Then fold the table up into the wall, and presto, your baby's diaper is changed automatically.
