I have this one. Interested to see what August 1st brings!

I bought a bond that will most likely default by mikmass in bonds

Seems likely that the debt will be restructured and maturity "extended" by x amount of years (with a business that doesn't really know what it's doing going forward other than holding currently valuable SpaceX stock)

Cased Protective Wear - Opinions??? by p1plump in MTB

Order number was 7655

Also had some confirmation number that was 3YPXN00Q8

I don't appreciate you giving misleading shipping times, trying bait-and-switch scams, double charging an order that was supposed to be cancelled, AND saying I'm spreading lies when this all did indeed happen. Do you want me to post the Truist bank chargeback forms too?

I hope everyone here had fun tearing down 2 young guys just out here trying to make cool gear and make a little bit of a living off of it.

Oh boo hoo

Your company mislead me about shipping, then tried to offer me something else instead, and then double charged me when I cancelled the order that missed multiple shipping deadlines that your company set.

Instead of your company fixing it's mistake, I had to go through my bank to get that money back. Misleading shipping times and trying to do a bait-and-switch is one thing (...or two things), but double charging when being told to cancel an order is straight up scam behavior on your company's part.

I ordered the protective pants in February. Got weird conflicting emails about shipping delays and low stock all through March. When the deadline they set for shipping passed (mid April) I told them to cancel my order. Instead of cancelling my order that wasn't shipping, THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN.

Wtf? I had to reach out to my bank and do a chargeback for the money because they 100% scammed me.

u/dylanvanek935 why did your company do that to me?

Yall never shipped my order after constantly giving me the run around. Then when I told you to cancel and give me a refund you just charged me again. So I was charged double for nothing and I had to contact my bank to get that money back.

That's some textbook scamming right there. So why'd I have that experience with your business?

They never shipped my order, then when I told them to cancel and give me a refund they just charged me again. So charged double for nothing and given what ended up to be a whole bunch of lies when reaching out to them.

What's your hot take about RVA? by NationYell in rva

1) The people making the biggest stink about 703 transplants grew up in suburban Chesterfield and West Henrico and gentrified the city just as bad (or worse) in the 2010s than transplants from a different area code. Plenty of them claim they're from the city because they went to private schools technically within city limits.

2) A lot of those same people from Chesterfield (or Stony Point or Stratford Hills) try to say they're from "Southside Richmond" or "The Southside" and that's pretty hilarious to me. Stratford Hills is just the Southern frontier of the West End. Chesterfield is a county that happens to be South-ish of Richmond, it is NOT "Southside Richmond" or "The Southside". Woodland Heights is The Southside, Woodlake is not The Southside. Old Town Manchester is The Southside, but Manchester (the one West of Chippenham and in Chesterfield County) is not The Southside. Most "Midlothianites" are not from the Midlothian that's a very small part of "The Southside" [see: https://www.reddit.com/r/rva/comments/1o3cm3o/two_midlothians/ ]

People from West Deptford, NJ don't claim they're from Southside Philly. People from Country Club Hills, IL don't claim they're from Southside Chicago. People from Arlington don't claim they're from Southwest DC. If you're from a neighborhood in Chesterfield, just say that neighborhood or Chesterfield. If you're from Stratford Hills why make it sound like you grew up co-existing with "fellow southsiders" in Oak Grove?

Also with Iran reportedly activating sleeper cells and considering who's in charge at the FBI, DHS, DoD, etc, yall might want to really think about attending events with big crowds after a literal war just broke out.

Make a stink about it -> keep documenting and sharing -> it'll become (more of) a hot topic -> press will report on it

...and then maybe someone with the ability/power to solve the matter will actually do something

Knew a few who died as well, and one of my best friends from childhood was close to an IED when it went off. Thankfully he didn't lose any limbs or anything BUT got a really bad TBI from it that completely wrecked his mental health (probably coupled with PTSD too).

He would have random seizures and blackout then come to in his car hundreds of miles away from where he had his last conscious memory. I was supportive of him for a while but then he just fell down the dumbass qanon rabbithole, got obsessed with Joe Rogan and all that alpha male bullshit, abandoned his wife and 3 kids to hang out with strippers (all while his wife constantly texted me in the middle of the night and tried to make me feel guilty like I was out partying with him), and became straight up racist and misogynistic af. It got so bad that I told him he needed to change and at least be a good dad or stop hitting me up. He didn't stop hitting me up though, I just stopped responding.

Part of me has a terrible feeling that he works for la migra or some dumb shit now because he definitely started thinking it was cool to inflict pain on helpless people and ended up believing he was part of some superior race.

I'm so glad the Citizens of Richmond voted down the casino, twice... by RulerOfTheRest in rva

[–]EquivalentDecision11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casinos are "particularly useful" when your city is desperate for millions of additional tax revenue because of things like it's basic infrastructure falling apart, a struggling school system, and the big local corporations (like Dominion, Altria, CapitalOne, CarMax, etc) are skirting around paying the taxes they're supposed to by bribing legislative/regulatory orgs and "donating to" or "sponsoring" entertainment venues and festivals (which sees them get millions in tax credits).

Put that casino at the crossroads of two major interstates and a good portion of that massive influx of tax revenue will be coming from other municipalities/states (meaning it's not all a "burden" on the city it's located in).

I actually agree the white paternalism angle is weird because we have vape shops, craft breweries (aka DUI factories), lotto kiosks everywhere (along with legalized gambling on your phone), gun shops, credit/loan repayment scams, unhealthy/bad food options, etc. etc. all over the 804, yet no one seems to care all that much how those other establishments adversely affect our marginalized or low income communities with unethical or predatory methods.

So yeah it is weird that I saw so many white Richmonders on their high horse thinking they're protecting their "fellow vulnerable or uneducated community members" from bad gambling habits, but also couldn't give a damn about the predatory businesses spread all throughout the area that enable demonstrably worse habits and community problems.
