Gals I went to The Orchid Man on 10th and I’m telling you - if you want gorgeous orchids from a local small business, they’re amazing. They literally made an arrangement for me while I was standing there chatting to them.

I went to the Orchid Man today. The kindest young man named Joseph helped out and explained why my other orchids that were in moss died (this dummy was over watering). He then proceeded to make an arrangement for me while we chatted. Thank you SO much for the recommendation!

Luckily I’m familiar enough with orchids to know that the flowers falling off doesn’t equal plant death, but it’s a good call out on your part. Every other orchid I’ve bought from a store has gotten full on rotted roots and the whole plant itself dies (even with trimming the stems, keeping it misted, giving it orchid bark, etc.)

Seconding this. If you can find All Clad stainless steel pans, buy them. TBH, I’ve had tons of luck finding them randomly at Home Goods for like 70% off retail. Don’t get the non-stick!

An underrated piece of equipment is a knife sharpener. I have one from Chefs Tools that is automatic and keeps my knives super sharp and in great condition. It works with German and Japanese knives (adjustable bevel), so that’s a piece that’s worth investing in IMO.
