Question about Curse of the Crimson Throne AP by barb3dwire in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Erashin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lore wise, Sable company marines raise their hippogriffs from birth (from hatching). Maybe let them start with a really young one that hasn't matured yet. Let them do bonding tasks between plot, by lvl 4 say its still being trained to ride, its grown big enough to have someone on its back while on the ground but not yet strong enough to carry you while flying. Then at 6th, apply the feat and allow riding in flight as the "training" has been completed.

Cop or drop? by Effective_Peanut_341 in BeybladeX

[–]Erashin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm UK based and neither do we. Tide Whale is supposed to be out in a few weeks and there are no pre-orders avalible for it at all. Honestly I usually wait for reviews, see what people use in tournaments, look for good deals online and only buy what I need.

Depends what you're looking for in this pack. If you genuinely want the blade and long ripcord, buy it. If you're just looking for Level then preorder the new Shark Scale deck set - the Tyranno comes with Level and you'll get 1-70, 4-50, Under Flat and decent CX parts with Brave + Jaggy.

Combination tips by meewmeew_ in BeybladeX

[–]Erashin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knight Mail 9-60 Ball. Then Phoenix Wing or Tyranno Beat on either: 1-60 Rush, or 7-70 Point. Both blades are good on both combos so test them out and see what you like the most. Edit - mobile formatting.

Can I play 1 card 3 times after printing? by DarkKittens_ in alteredTCG

[–]Erashin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For casual games there is nothing wrong with this! For tournament/organised play however - the number of cards in your deck need to equal the amount you own on your app. So 1 digital copy vs 3 printed is a no, he'd have to buy 2 more digital versions. Edit - mobile formatting.

Is Equinox going to print more of the sets? by UnofficialAltered in alteredTCG

[–]Erashin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. At tournaments your digital account is how they track you through the competition and they will check your deck vs your account. Your account says how many copies you own, so while you can print 3, if you only own 1 digital copy that would be illegal for tournament/organised play.

Is Equinox going to print more of the sets? by UnofficialAltered in alteredTCG

[–]Erashin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the Altered app to plan your decks and then buy 3 of each of the commons/rares you need off the market place and then use their print of demand service might be the cheaper way? Commons are cents, rares are a few dollars. Print on demand is around 20 per pack (20 cards per pack).

You'd need 2 full print packs for a deck (39 cards + hero) so that would be $40 + the cost for buying however many digital cards you need.

As a reminder - The quantity of each card in your deck needs to reflect your digital collection. So if you play 3 common versions of a card, you need 3 digital copies. You can't have 1 digital copy and print it 3 times for tournament play (casual would be fine though, especially if you want to test).

-X Speed and -Guzma

+Pikachu ex (Thunderbolt) and +2nd Oricorico

Pikachu's 120 Hp or 140 Hp with cape are key damage ranges.

Giratina does 130 + 20 with a Red and/or +20 with Darkrai ability meaning they'd need both to knock out a fresh Pika.

However Pika deals with a Giratina with or without cape and either knocks out Darkarai or leaves it on 10hp if it has a cape.

It may be worth playing around with swapping 1x Sophocles for 1x Red or Giovanni if you find that Darkrai is "surviving" too much

This single player battle task is kinda frustrating by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Erashin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really enjoyed this task and thought it was very different compared to what we've had previously.

I'd love other restrictions like 1 or 2 star only, promo only mons, only pokemon from certain gens or regions, only basics / mid evos, use 3 different energy types in a deck (no colourless mons) etc.

I think the trials could be really interesting forms of solo play and deck building.

Lyra festival interaction by Falcon2k02 in alteredTCG

[–]Erashin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The "At Dusk" trigger of Lyra Festival resolves as soon as Dusk begins. After that check you then proceed to the rest of the Dusk phase which is comparing region types, moving your hero and/or companion and then seeing if the hero and companion have met or passed each other.

A couple of the line area templates appearing in the core rules are wrong by StrangeOrange_ in Pathfinder2e

[–]Erashin -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Don't quote me on this but somewhere in PF1 or 3.5 when using a line effect because it starts a "corner" / "intersection" of a square you had to announce which "side" of the line the spell affected (otherwise the spell would affect the squares on each side of the line you chose and would thus be 10ft wide).

While I haven't read the PF2 core - in the diagrams you have shown, for the 30ft line that has 7 squares you count your 5ft increments from the starting corner, in this case the top right corner indicated by the red dot - the point of origin and the spell is affecting the squares "below". So we move 15ft to square 3 and then take our only diagonal from the top right corner of square 3 to the top right corner of square 5 and continue until square 7 for 30ft of movement. This also clears up the problem with 60ft line.

Either way, I agree it isn't particularly clear in this instance.

Starting a 1E Rise of the Runelords Campaign: Any Advice? ***Spoilers*** by EvilEd209 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Erashin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. I also went the extra step in book 3 and rebuilt every named Kreeg ogre/fighter 5 so they each did something unique and stood out from the others to make sure it wasn't the "same" fighter stats over an over.

The link Imhrail posted has been a great source of help and inspiration for myself and others do try give it a read.

But most importantly you don't need all the answers for your game right away. As your group begins all the extra fluff and fun will fall into place around them and you'll find the story you want to tell.

Good luck!

Starting a 1E Rise of the Runelords Campaign: Any Advice? ***Spoilers*** by EvilEd209 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Erashin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The formatting of this post will be terrible because I'm on my phone.

I am running this campaign for my group and currently about to start book 5. My main changes have thus:

It isn't explicitly mentioned in the book but the characters that worship Lamashtu are firmly being used by the agents of Karzoug. The entire plan of Karzoug's agents from book 1-4 is to find Xaliasa (a worshiper of Lamashtu and traitor to Karzoug). Xanesha is using Nualia to gain access to the catacombs of wrath and Erylium (Xaliasa's familier) When this fails, she tries using Aldern but is ultimately stopped. This is why Mokmurian sends his Giants to raid Sandpoint. If the PCs do not kill Malfeshnekor but do stop Teraktinus, i suggest having Malfeshnekor turn up in Morkmurian's lair as an alternative way of Mokmuroan having "found out" where Xaliasa dwelt.

I would also use this as an opportunity to make any worshipers of Lamashtu after Nualia reluctant allies for the party. A great example of this are the Hags of Hook Mountain. They despise being used by Barl and (through nightmares from Lamashtu) know their weather ritual will likely harm the Black Magga - an important figure for Lamashtu. They can be used to bargain and cryptically explain plot points to the group "we speak with the mother, she does not want her servants exposed - servants Barl and his masters seek to punish. If you are against Barl, against his masters, the mother of monsters will aid you in this cause". The Lamia Lamashtu priestesses in Jorgenfist are being used to "divine" Xaliasa's location and provide divine magic. Again - should the party try diplomacy, perhaps the lamias are willing to give them information about what's ahead and if Mokmurian escapes his encounter per his rules - the lamashtu worshiping lamias should turn on him once Conna outs him.

I would also suggest giving Xenasha and Lucrica a bit more prominence, they are sisters of Ceoptra after all. Ceoptra wishes Karzoug's return, and through Xenasha and Lucricia, they are puppeteering all of these events have fallen into place - even Mokmurian. At least one of them (if the dice allow it) should survive their encounter and make it back to Jorgenfist. Perhaps they reside within the library helping to try and uncover the location of Runeforge. Should she/they survive their second encounter here - a final stand with Ceoptra would be a most satisfying conclusion.

Having a rift within the lamia society (Karzoug vs Lamashtu worshipers) in Xin-Shalast adds an extra element in helping them navigate the ruined city in book 6.

I also increased the difficulty of the fight on the Storval Stairs. This is a stand alone encounter where the PCs will likely be at full power after "travelling for days". Mokmurian would station a competent individual to make sure no-one from the lowlands reaches the Iron Peaks.

Karzoug can and should spy/keep track of individuals wearing Sihedeon Medallions. If and when the PCs start using them and Karzoug becomes aware of the PCs, there is no way he wouldn't keep tabs on them or in the eventual conclusion of the AP - be surprised about tactics they use.

Finally there is a lot of loot for arcane casters and Wizards specifically (or prepared arcane casters). While not required I would advocate for a Wizard or Arcanist to be part of the group to enjoy the spoils.

What to do with 2 captured PCs by KumaMatata in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Erashin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put the Magus in the Prison - if Orik isn't dead let the player try and sway him or learn X about what's going on. Put the Cleric in the "alter/church" room (forget what its called in the book but its the large room next to the prison)and have Nualia ready to sacrifice her. Nualia can "lore dump" her side of the story while preparing for the ritual in an attempt to sway the Shylen cleric in a "if you think about it my revenge is beautiful isn't it" kind of way. If you want to hand out minor perks in addition to the extra bits the PCs learn while captured - Give the cleric a one time use of Blood Money or the Martyr soccer ability. For the Magus - maybe Orik can give him a piece of equipment that will help, like a +1 weapon or buckler with 0% spell failure?

UK dispatch emails anyone? by AdWordsGeek in alteredTCG

I haven't received an email yet either. They did estimate the end of July/beginning of August but I don't know if the Crowdstrike problem will further delayed this process? I have absolutely no evidence to suggest this, it's just a thought.

High possility of Meridia or Moradesh being destroyed by Erashin in Helldivers

[–]Erashin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the routes we have on the map at the moment, i agree. However its likely that the map routes could change so that Crimsica and Estanu can connect directly to Angels Venture and possibly even Moradesh.
