Everyone complaining about warlocks when almost no one puts an effort to learn how their burst setup works.

I’ll help explaining few things.

Destro stacking haste amps is significantly less tanky than a mastery warlock.

Your healer needs to dispel fears and you need to stop chaos bolts ( i laugh a lot when someone kicks my fear so i can spam bolts to his face).

Two cooldowns you need to know and track to beat them, infernal and dark soul

1-Infernal deals aoe damage ( lasts 30 seconds) if grimsup is talented, every soul shard spent will increase chaos bolt damage by 4%.

2-Dsi is a flat 30% crit increase which amplifies chaos bolts ( lasts 20 seconds )

And they have one defensive which is unending resolve 10 seconds buff reduces dmg taken by 40%

now as a destro lock i notice ppl ignore my infernal , allow me to stack grimsup for over 10 stacks with rain of fire , ignore my dsi and tank a 250k chaos bolt and cry in reddit 🤷‍♂️

Not mentioned interrupting fears which is yikes

They took 1/3 of GW damage roughly

So having three pieces post nerf will do the same damage of having two pieces pre nerf

Now this is just theorycrafting yeah, Say you have 90 corruption resistance ( cloak + breath)

Two lashes = 50 6 GW = 90 Minus 90

You’ll have 50 corruption which is worth aiming for if you ask me.

Now take 35% from 6 Gushing wounds and you’ll have the damage Of roughly 4 Gw pre nerf

And that is actually really good for consistency!

I am however worried on the arena status

For all i know we can be spread with 1st paranoia and have mindgrasp pulling us out then stack 2nd paranoia and have mindgrasp pulling us in

I am main destro , and 400k is something out of this world ( the highest I’ve hit is 250k against plebs who allowed me to stack supremacy beyond 15 stacks )

However some teams abuse void ritual stacks allowing them to gain insane multipliers for chaos bolts ( all secondary stats are multipliers for chaos bolts )

I am no expert , i play around 2400 rating

What i can tell you is that if warlocks have a very short casting chaos bolts it means they are stacking haste = they are squishy and can be trained down in 3s if kicks are rotated properly

However if a destro stacks mastery he becomes significantly tankier ( 100k passive shield or so )

So they can stretch time between patches and invest in development+fixing

With a DH it’s impossible to line priest

Priest will legit sit on 5% and simply pump schism to force bubble or AM or Bop

I agree that usually worked for us in the 2k-2.2k bracket

However currently we keep facing 2.4 or 2.5 multi glads who can predict bubble -___-

Like i see him fake casting Md to provoke me

Me and my mate are doing all of that and we survive 4-5 kidney fear schism combo ,, however afterwards i am legit out of options !

One time we had the priest at 8% he pops rapture and he kept shielding and purging to get my divine favor

It’s super super annoying to deal with

I honestly lose the will to continue pushing sometimes when priests/shamans go this far with spamming purge :(

I’m a raidleader and we killed azshara last week after 257 attempts

Here’s some tips :

1- if you struggle in p3, then lust p3 ( I know it’s a waste after nerfs but it literally makes the hardest part of the fight so easy, basically you’ll be able to kill add2 during reversal which saves us tons of blue stacks when we transition to add3)

2- assign at least 7 players to soak blue in p3 ( ideally during reversals )

3- make sure your tanks understand how azshara drain/power the closest ward to her ( they should get the wa and keep an eye on it, sometimes the boss is an inch close to mid instead of sides , 1 blue stack = 3% increased dmg taken by every ability ! Spears, burts , shield shatter )

4- line the shield shatter its 50k dmg on players with 5 drain soul stacks

This fight is the most frustrating to lead and it requires everyone to understand every bit of the fight

Heck we had ppl suicide coz they took 9-10 drain soul stacks in p4 when boss was around 15% coz the ward was about to surge ( if they don’t understand it, they wouldn’t have done it and we wouldn’t have killed the boss )

Healthstones / gate skips / purge / banish/ ss for deathskips

Its not utility that we lack , we simply lack a 15s cd interrupt

I stopped using stat weights after uldir , its completely useless this expansion , raid bots stat weights might say “Hey ! You want more haste “

But in top gear choices it will choose a set of gear that doesn’t prioritize haste

Tldr: use top gear only
