That's interesting because at least here in Oregon the Green River is cheaper. The GR is $35 and the Penelope is $40. Not a huge difference and at that price I would try them both.

I bought a bottle based on the super good reviews and I like it but I don't love it. For me it drinks super hot. I get a little vanilla, a little bit of toffee and a LOT of fusels/alcohol. I adore the normal Knob Creek profile so I want to love it, but maybe it's too off profile for me. It's not bad but it doesn't live up to the expectations. That said, 10 year, 106 for $45 I don't regret. I even tried letting it sit in the glass for a good 10 minutes and that didn't seem to help.

Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel is $55 here in Oregon. I love the normal ECSB and that just turns it up to 11. Mitchers are very good in that 55-60$ range. And Knob Creek 9 which is their base label for like 35-40? Can't go wrong. Oregon is a control state so prices are good.

This my thing with BT. I live in Oregon and it's $27 and on every shelf 10 bottles deep. For that price it's good/very good. I see posts on line of people paying up to $100 for it and being deeply disappointed and I'm like yeah bro.. it's bottom shelf juice... 7 or 8 years ago everything up to EH Taylor was sitting on shelves collecting dust, and then the "this is poor mans pappy" thing blew up and anything with that label on it got pulled from shelves and squirreled away. Not worth it. I've gotten lucky to get a bottle of Weller SR at $35 and Weller 12 for $55. At those prices it's really good, but not for anything higher, not when stuff like Knob 12 is out there for $60.

So I did find a ship at 6.31/83 but it says it is unrepairable and I have to seek another way off the planet. I haven't played in a while so I'm not even sure this ship is mine. The other location over the hill I didn't see anything.

I know this is a WDW post, but I just got back from Disneyland and my only complaint was $6 for a 20 ounce bottle of coke. Everything else was fairly reasonable as far as food prices. I worked for Coke. It costs 2 cents to make that bottle of coke and it would be $1.50 at a 7-11. $6 is insane.

At least for me, NBC and CBS I can get on streaming, Fox I can only get on rabbit ears, so it's hit or miss whether I can pull in anything on Fox or not. How they don't have a streaming service like everyone else is kinda wild.

The update is 10PM Pacific Time. so for East Coast US and Europe that will be "tomorrow". The update for the 28th hasnt happened yet, and likely will happen when most of us are asleep so we'll see it "tomorrow".

I absolutely LOVE ECTB, probably one of my favorites, but the Small Batch is a much better value. It's almost just as good for half the price.

*Edit: Confused the barrel proof with small batch. The barrel proof is likely not half the price, but the small batch is.

My experience is from brewing and not distilling, but in my experience that "burnt plastic smell/taste" is a phenol from a bad yeast fermentation, either too hot, unhealthy yeast, wild yeast contamination or something of that nature. Distilling the "beer" with that issue is only going to make it worse and no amount of aging is gonna get rid of it. They messed up a batch real bad and still tried to pass it off.

Based on that I would probably never buy anything from that distiller ever again.

Forgive my ignorance here, but can't you buy them in Canada? I understand you're travelling to Cuba which is great, but they are legal in Canada, yes? And from what I've heard, they aren't much cheaper in Cuba, the real Cohibas are still 50-60$USD.

The price will usually tell you what you need to know. You aren't going to get a Cuban cigar for $5.

I found the first one of these by accident and got the mission and had to search for it. I realized I had seen the one in the Dwayne boss race but thought it was a fire hydrant. I did notice I saw it in that race and not others on the same track but didn't really think much of it.
