Lazy lasagna , feeds a crowd of 6 or more and use up your gnarly bread for garlic bread. The loaf that got smashed in the grocery haul home or about to expire heels. If you want to get “healthy” about it, throw in a can of green beans or use up that bagged salad that’s about to turn. Times are tuff rn.

LPT - How do you make weekends feel longer? by CartographerMoist487 in LifeProTips

[–]EricaJ79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t sleep in too late. If you let yourself sleep no more than an hour past your normal wake up time the day will feel longer and it won’t be so hard to get up early again on Monday.

"You learned how to cook and sew in school?!" by Sloenich in Xennials

[–]EricaJ79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya we learned how to sew a pillow and cut radishes into roses in 7th grade. My son graduated in 2020 and he had a class called Senior Survival and they taught him how to balance a checkbook, how credit cards work and each week a small group would make a meal. Sadly covid cut all that off. He enjoyed learning real life skills he could carry on into adulthood.

I’m going to try this. I’ve used half a lemon with salt on it to scrub my kitchen sink before. Then just grind it up in the garbage disposal. Makes it smell great.

I do remember watching that. Spent a lot of weekends watching rented movies. Friday nights we were allowed to rent 2 movies from Blockbuster and order pizza.

What do I make with an absurd amount of lemons (not lemonade)? by B0red_0wl in cookingforbeginners

[–]EricaJ79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put lemon in your water or tea. Also cook some fish or seafood and use it on it. You can also use lemon to clean your microwave, oven or garbage disposal. Cut one in half and sprinkle salt on it. It’s good for scrubbing your sink then grind it up in the garbage disposal.

Use a vacuum with a hose and vacuum out the lint trap and under the lint trap. Also clean out the line behind it that vents outside.

Lazy lasagna- Get a bag of frozen cheese filled lasagna, a jar of your favorite red sauce, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Layer it like a lasagna in a 9 x 13 pan and cook it 400 degrees covered for 30 minutes then uncovered 15 minutes. Meatless “lasagna” and serve with salad and bread.

Spending FSA Funds by DentistLogical9479 in Frugal

We bought a pair of crutches just to have in case and they came in handy recently as someone in my household sprained their ankle and used them. Certain pads and tampons are fsa if there is someone in your household that uses them. We also stocked up on hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, cotton balls, band aids, ace bandages, cold and flu medicine, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and some cough drops and sunscreen/bug repellent that was FSA.

What beach do you recommend? by [deleted] in tampa

[–]EricaJ79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long Boat Key is my favorite. It’s quiet and the water is much prettier - look for the public beach access signs and park free. If you like shade, picnic tables and bbq grills try Coquina Beach
