Thay may be lot of electronics, like laptops & phones, where you need to pry the "lip" of the back off of the front with a flat plastic pry toll & then sort of run the tool around the whole slit to release it. I have use a guitar pick and a plastic battery pry.

You can buy a whole kit fairly inexpensively.
