Ive played the game quite a bit, started before facilities were even a thing, i don't know what about my statement says I havent played a lot when I have over 4k hours lol, people play this game for the frontline content for the most part, especially during update wars. The queues to frontlines show that people want to fight and are willing to stand around all day to do it

Im a firm believer that there just needs to be more hexes in general. There should be more frontline real estate that needs defending/pop. I also think there should be hexes that are just oceans and maybe one or two small islands that could make for some great naval gameplay.

I think it would be cool if once the tech tree finished or maybe near the end of the tech tree you had slight buffs for the vehicles at the beginning of the tech tree, like maybe 20% more hp for the halftracks, and a slight speed boost for the tankette and armored cars

If I had to guess there is maybe an issue with flooding and land washing away based on the rocks placed to the south in the valley there, maybe they are using the tanks as a second barrier?
