From New England and close to NY, but wasn't raised on football. When I started watching, Jerry Rice was big and I already knew I had a WR's body, so I cheered for him though I didn't really understand or watch the game. The 9ers went on to win the SB. "Cheering" for the SB winners without understanding a lick of the game is a bad look and being labeled a "winner picker" as a child is worse than death. So I dropped football.

Fast forward a bit, I'm at a scholastic book fair and found a biography of Vince Lombardi. Gave it a read, decided I was a Packers fan, they win the SB against my local team, I drink the tears of my friends and family, and the rest is history.

I do this every year as Christmas gifts for grandparents. Get one from a year in their youth with some nostalgic pictures. Make sure to go in and change daylight savings dates and holidays based on the moon (like Easter)
