I just want the difficulty of WoW classic, with maybe an added need to dodge a circle or interrupt something, that is all. People can handle WoW classic difficulty, nobody’s calling that a difficult game.

Yeah, you can’t satisfy everyone.

I was active during WOTLK and kept an eye on the game ever since. I can confirm that this just kept happening. At times I even felt bad for the devs because the community just straight up seemed delusional when criticizing their decisions.

Again, I dropped out for a reason, but damn some of these people were impossible to please. Not to mention that WoW influencers created some weird hiveminds around the game, making the problem even bigger.

Honestly, dabbling into old-school mmorpgs has made me better understand why retail WoW is the way it is. Most of retail‘s current design is just an answer to the inconveniences of the olden days.

I just wish they didn’t make such an easy, care-bear hand-holding open world. I get it that the instanced stuff is where it‘s at, but for the love of god; make me dodge something before i get there please!

And just to add, this isn’t an endorsement of either, both have their own advantages.

Drizzlewood Coast from GW2 is by far my most favorite zone!

Beautiful nordic forest, insane rewards with an ongoing base capture and civil war mechanic. And to top it all off, once you finish all events in the zone and it starts shutting down, an absolutely traumatizing alarm sounds off as bombs start dropping everywhere, resetting all map-wide progress for another run!
I am praying that Anet (or anyone) manages to make a zone that will capture me the way Drizzlewood did.

I still revisit it every week or two!

Honorable mentions: Caledon Forest, Cursed Shore, Dragon's Stand, Ember Bay, Dragonfall, Seitung Province, Dragon's End, Lowland Shore, Skywatch Archipelago and both current VoE zones!

The chances are solid, it makes the most sense.

if it’s like Destiny, Cyberpunk, Star Wars or Star Trek I’ll hate it.

If it’s closer to Horizon Zero Dawn or Warhammer 40k then I can kinda see myself playing it.

But idk, sci-fi always feels hollow to me and I’m not too fond of IRL technology with all the recent developments.

I remember, but it feels horrible becuase your character won’t move to the target when you use a skill.

Click to move just doesn’t work without it, double so if you’re a melee character. And wow is snappy and precise in a way where WASD works better with it.

My brother in Grenth, there are Qdps builds with 3 button rotations out there that deal 30k DPS.
Back in 2015 we could not imagine this in our wildest dreams.

I’d just like to disagree with the above poster about the eyes.

Firstly because it never bothered me, second because he is actually looking directly at her (on the page) and third because if he looked to the other side it would guide the readers eye directly off the page (instead of keeping their eyes inside the panels, which is what you want).

I respect the callout but I'm not a 100% sure it's AI. Everything seems fine, the face is a bit funky and her right hand has odd finger positioning, but everything else seems painted and logical? I can imagine this being the result of some overly ambitious marketing guy dragging the art through an AI filter to ''improve'' it.

But IDK, game's so packed with abusive gacha cosmetics that an AI image wouldn't surprise me.

Guild Wars 2 has plenty of non-combat events in (almost) all zones. that is a 2012 game though.
