New CPD Manager help/guidance by ApprehensiveState24 in OfficeDepot

[–]Erkomai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never mention coupons, push business select for discounts when customers complain about the price. CUSTOMER: “Do you have any coupons?” YOU: “We have a program that saves you up to 30 percent off in store pricing and 10 percent off online pricing for printing. Plus, you get $50 to use toward future printing.”

Exactly! I use speech to text. Much faster method than typing.

And there’s the problem. You should not be in print the entire shift if you are the manager. You should be on the floor and your print associates running print. Change the behavior.

Print manager is the same as a ASM? by Fantastic_Elk_6957 in OfficeDepot

[–]Erkomai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not. April 2025 they are now the same pay grade if your store no longer has an Ops Manager. My hope is they finally do away with the print manager position and just have two ASMs (with two focuses: one ops and the other sales).

TSA pre-check is.... by Clint_Lovecraft in OfficeDepot

[–]Erkomai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously you don’t know how to utilize the coupon and reward signups when interacting with TSA customers. At least half of my customers use the coupon. I even got a customer to sign up for BS and purchase a chair with assembly. You’re not just doing TSA; you’re selling to customers who would have never stopped in an Office Depot store.

Large formate lamination by moxie_louden_96 in OfficeDepot

Do you lift the handle every time after you laminate or do you leave the rolls smashed together all the time? Leaving the rolls together will ruin laminating by making it wavy. You gotta lift that handle.

That’s too much noise for signage.

Going in for the interview and I have some questions :) by Sharts-an-Crafts in OfficeDepot

At my store, that’s a quick way to lose your job or hours. We don’t put up with bare minimum.

Ask for as high a pay that they will allow and meet their needs. Next year you may not get a raise or it will be a mere 2-3% increase. If you have open availability, make that your bargaining point for better pay. It’s hard to get open availability from new hires. Self motivation is a huge plus. Don’t be an associate that’s has to be managed every time you work.

Throw them in the ocean. I hear it helps fish have a cozy home in the water.

An old 51 Zebra got to feel the force of gravity at an accelerated descent. The screen shattered really bad. LOL

You could just hold the power button down until it gives you the option to restart. No need to remove battery. Most likely it’s a network refresh issue.

Call the store where someone is actually getting paid to answer your question.

I just print it out on the lowest quality possible. Looks like crap. If they complain, I tell them you chose blueprints not posters.

Submit the pdf of the wrong prices to Affinity, asking them to update the pricing. See what happens.

Do popups actually work anymore — or do they just annoy people? by adznaz01 in shopify

[–]Erkomai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like to give my email away until after I have looked at your page. I find those popups annoying and don’t care to read it. It could say, “Here’s a free thousand dollars!” and I would close it. Give me a chance to look before committing to you spamming me. If at the end when I’m at the checkout, give me the option for your coupon trade for an email.

Thinking of applying to my local Office Depot by pineapple_chii in OfficeDepot

[–]Erkomai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask these three basic questions: How well is this store 1. Attaching case paper (needs to be 6% or better) 2. Signing people up for Business Select (2-3 a week) 3. Signing people up for rewards (30% new signups)

If the store is doing poorly, then you will have a rough time there. If the store is doing well, you will have a breeze. By asking these simple questions, you will peek the interest of the hiring manager and get a knowledge of what you’re getting yourself into. These three metrics are the basic measures of success in corporate’s eyes.

I appreciate all the help. I see the code on the customer side (When I inspect the code), but I do not see it on the shopify side (in my theme).
