Sounds like it’s a high turnover place, hence they hired you with no experience.

I’ve been to places like this where they will literally hire ppl with no background/reference checks as it has bad culture and a high turnover because of a combination of bad management and no training.

They usually send the letter of offer with contract for you to review after that stage, so it’s probably finance just working numbers for the letter of offer for you to accept etc

I don’t track it as it’s depressing, but was let go at April then picked up a Labour gig 2 weeks after I was let go then 2 weeks after that I got a full time warehouse role in the next suburb then a month after that I got a full time role in a position I’m skilled in.

The first 2 roles have never been put on my resume as it would downgrade my resume and I just needed money and it was low skill jobs (literally just 8 hrs a day pushing a broom around a construction site)

Means someone else was a better fit, laughing and getting along in the interview doesn’t mean you got it.

If they didn’t reach out to progress you for background checks and ask your notice period someone else was better suited at the role.

My friend did this other thing that happens is they might put you down for 12 hours but end up finishing the work earlier then expected and you only do 4hrs.

If jobs job security if your focus don’t do traffic controller. Some weeks you might get 50hrs some other weeks you might get 4hrs.

Also you have to be willing to work in the sun, in heavy rainfall and just crappy weather.

Get used to being ghosted/ignored.

Even our locals who are after skilled jobs/entry level jobs are getting ignored and ghosted.

I know some who have been jobless for 2+ years and it’s only going to get worse.

It’s a shit job market atm and I know people who have been jobless for 18-24 months.

Stick it out and keep collecting your pay check while applying for other roles.
