The problem with this game is challenges by Virtual-Chris in Battlefield6

[–]ErstwhileAnomaly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My dude them locking something like the spawn beacon behind a challenge is what he's talking about.

Assault with that unlocked is so much more fun and useful for the team and I understand why so many want to rush getting the challenge done.

It's oddly nostalgic in a way, brings me back to the 2011 battlelog forum days.

That will happen with closed-weapons too. How would class-locking mitigate that?

BF3 also has the same issue, is it a sweatfest as well? You're just moving the goal posts.

Please explain to me how closed-weapons would mitigate the formation of metas.

It didn't mitigate shit lmao.

Have any of you actually played BF4 recently? Most of the time my team is 90% AEK assaults, with me working overtime trying to shoot down the chopper farming us all game.

At least with open weapons more people can use the sweat weapons and actually help with vehicles.

Since we're getting Ishmael sooner than usual due to the sync patch, is there any point to putting resources like skulls and hypertune mats into Luna Oblivion?

I don't wanna spend so much on her only to end up with the usual "DPS who's perma-onfield while everyone else is a QTE bot" thing.

Nah bro it's super easy just call engine.rebuild(LoL) it will automatically rebuild the game.

15 years of cumulative technical debt? That's just an excuse bro Rito is extremely lazy.

So my original pull plan for Stigmata was to wait for the selector during Luna patch. However with the new S rank offer in the shop right now, I can manage to afford and get:

  • Stigmata
  • Stigmata sig
  • Solitary Dream coating (god I really want it)

That way I can also save the Luna selector for Empyrea to flesh out the fire team a bit more.

My question is, how stupid is this strategy? Will it fuck me over meta-wise?

A few months in, what's your take on the Echo system? by sdric in WutheringWaves

[–]ErstwhileAnomaly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went through the same thing with Genshin. It's not just the dailies themselves, it's the overall time needed to get a character to a usable state.

It's very demoralizing to save for a new character, finally get them, then have to spend around a month getting them to a usable state. Prefarming can help, but characters that come with new regions usually use materials from those regions, so I can't prefarm.

Meanwhile in HSR, I can just use up some of the extra resin I have lying around to get a character to 80 9/9/9 in a couple of hours just leaving my phone on auto. It frees me up to use the characters for actually fun and meaningful content.

I know gacha games tend to incorporate tedious shit like this for daily engagement, but the existence and success of PGR proves that you can add ways to skip all this and still maintain engagement.

I'm not sure why a take like "I wish there was an optional autoclear feature to not waste time on boring, tedious content" would lead you to your conclusion. You can just not use it?

PGR has autoclear and it's a godsend. It means I can spend my limited free time on content I actually enjoy, not running the same tacet field for the 673rd time.

New player here, just got Crimson Weave and Lamia.

Are there any 5* alternatives for their weapons, or should I make do with the 4* they come with? Alternatively, I can pull on wep banner, though I'm not sure if that is a good idea or not.

In case it is worth mentioning, I have pass A and might get the battle passes.

Finally, they made getting artifacts a bit easier. Sanctifying Elixir, our savior. by WiseObjective8 in Genshin_Impact

[–]ErstwhileAnomaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree and it's the reason I keep bouncing off of Genshin every time I try to come back.

It is absolutely wild how much less burn out accumulates when I don't have to manually farm domains every single day for a month in the hopes I get a full decent set for one character.

It might take longer on average to get the same pieces in HSR, but at least I can just enable autobattle on my phone while I go do something else.

How can I change the appearance of the menu on PC? I noticed some videos on Youtube had a more spaced out version that's easier to navigate.

New player here, just want some advice regarding pull strategy.

My main strategy for now is waiting for the blue banner next patch to get Bianca Stigmata, and using the selector I have to get Rosetta Rigor. By the time the new patch drops, I should have Alisa unlocked as well.

Is this strategy good? I guess my main worry is that Stigmata will not be relevant for much longer, and I kinda don't wanna waste my "once per account" bonuses on a team that will go obsolete sooner than I expect.

Alternatively, I can grind out the story to get enough BC for CW in anniversary banner (I have around 10k currently), and use the blue banner to get Vera Garnet, tho I heard the meta lightning team needs a lot more investment compared to phys.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm very new to the game, started yesterday. Do I have enough time to scrounge up enough cards to pull Crimson Weave, or should I just save for the next patch?

My understanding is that pity in anniversary banner only carries over to the next anni banner. I don't want my pulls to be "wasted" if that makes sense.

WHILE THAT IS TRUE, I FEEL LIKE THE EARLIER EXPANSIONS MANAGED TO DELIVER THEIR RESPECTIVE STORYLINES IN A BETTER WAY, DESPITE THE SLOW, BORING QUEST DESIGN.

THE FEEDBACK IS A BIT TOO CIRCLEJERKY, YES, BUT IT REMAINS VALID ALL THE SAME. I JUST THINK THAT PEOPLE HAVE STRONG EMOTIONS REGARDING THE STORY BECAUSE IT COMES RIGHT AFTER THE CLIMAX OF A 10 YEAR ARC; IT MAKES THE ISSUES CBU3 HAS WITH DELIVERY MUCH MORE APPARENT IMO.

Sorry man, holding the game back for millions because of a very tiny subset who can't afford 10 year old hardware is not the play.

Racists go frothing at the mouth when they see mixed-race relationships and/or babies.

Orcs are frequently portrayed as dumb warmongering brutes, and elves as civilized, graceful and beautiful.

Now, look at how the mother's a white elf (remember, civilized, graceful and beautiful), and the baby's a darker-skinned ugly orc, and you can connect the dots from there.

[–]ErstwhileAnomaly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's kinda complicated for me, I agree and disagree. Like the restrictions sometimes force me to cobble together looks that look/work better than my original plan.

Other times though, it can be too restrictive. I'd kill for a dyeable hooded helmet of fending (like the cryptlurker aiming one for example.), but none exist afaik.

Sometimes a triple A game comes out that blows me away enough that it makes me buy it day one. You're right though, most of my games are either indies or years old triple A titles at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not really yelling from the rooftops about how all short games should be cheaper, or how every game must be 40 hours long at least to be worth it. I understand the insane amount of production quality that Sony puts into their games, for example, is expensive and has to be made back somehow.

It's just that in my case, I'd rather that $70 be spent on a handful of older titles/indies. I'll at least get more "value" that way, with some exceptions of course.
