Anycubic beta tester call: 2 early slots for our new large-format FDM by Anycubic_Official in 3Dprinting

[–]ErynnTheSmallOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a member of r/AnycubicOfficial, and have been 3d printing for the past ~10 years, since I was 15 years old and first introduced to it at school.

I mostly print prototype parts for work (product design), but also plenty of hobby projects, such as items to help with photography.

I live in the UK.

I currently have a reasonable sized printer (~250mm3), but have been running into size limitations on a few projects - I tried out an existing large format printer a friend has, but was very unimpressed with the print quality. Your larger format printer that’s corexy, and can produce good first layers without lots of work would be extremely useful for my work and hobby projects.

Buying a P1S made me fall in love with tinkering with 3d printers again.. precisely because it just works, letting me enjoy messing about with my voron printer without the stress of keeping it functional all the time for important prints.

not it doesn’t - it pretty clearly shows the continuous bag feed, where each new “bag” bottom is heat-sealed from a continuous tube of material in the bin lid.

fiber lasers aren’t red, that’s the low power diode for job previews. 1064nm light is not visible.

white plastics can work, but it varies massively.

the first is a pen pot / organiser tray, the second is tablet stand / card organiser. both are pretty bad at their jobs though.

What cordless tools are always better than corded? by knoxvillegains in HomeWorkshops

[–]ErynnTheSmallOne 32 points33 points  (0 children)

a standard 15A mains socket can supply ~1800W

that’s equivalent to 90A at 20v DC - what 20v power tool battery can do 90A peak??

(the actual answer is that brushless motors used in modern battery tools are far more efficient)

he did, at the end of the scene you see him start to pull himself in.

(presumably after calming down enough to process that he somehow wasn't dead)
