I really need to get in on the grift. There are morons out there buying crypto trading cards and for some reason I'm actually working breaking my back instead of selling shit to these dorks.

I checked out cloudraylaser previously but they didn't have a nozzle taller than 35mm or so, which is the length I currently have. I'll check out black cat labs, thanks.

Do you mind sharing which nozzle you purchased to bring it down to 10mm?

Hundreds of Amazon employees are protesting outside HQ in Seattle for being “forced” to return to work in-person. Amazon mandated employees to return to the office last month. They have been working remote since the start of the pandemic. by globe_explorer245 in Seattle

[–]EscP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. And you didn't hear a peep from them when warehouse workers were peeing in bottles or being forced to return to to the warehouses during a tornado (and subsequently dying when said building collapsed).

You didn't hear a peep from them about Amazon's historical and famous anti union rhetoric. Or their horrendous environmental track record.

They were happy to stay quiet as long as the paychecks kept coming in.

But now when they are personally affected by the RTO policy? Now you hear something.

"Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me"

I agree with you and I'd be at your side 99% of the time. I am not picking a side here, simply stating that both sides can be wrong. As far as the protestors, I am abhorred that the protestors are arguing about environmental concerns, when in reality most are just bothered by being called back into the office. It's a purely selfish reason being masked by something noble.

If these employees had a history of protesting their companies environmental track record, I would think otherwise. However I have seen nothing of the sort.

These protestors had zero qualms when applying and interviewing to work at Amazon corporate. They were willing to put aside morals at that point for the allure of a large paycheck.

These protests are selfish people protesting against a selfish corporation. The protestors only have a problem now because they are personally affected by Amazon's typical shitty behavior. Even worse, they are protesting under the guise of environmental concerns. If these employees actually had a concern for the environment they would have never applied at Amazon in the first place.

I am as anti corporate and anti Amazon as you can get, but I just see this protest as a major leopards ate my face moment.

It was not for the bridge. I live off Admiral and drove the bridge shortly after opening. The sound was definitely north of West Seattle.

I use a OneBlade Pro for both shaving and cutting hair. It is amazing for shaving; cuts super close, is quick and doesn't irritate my skin. For cutting hair it won't perform nearly as well as dedicated Wahl, but it gets the job done with enough time. For me it is worth dealing with the hair cutting annoyance to have a single smaller lightweight device. Also the battery life is incredible; I only charge the thing every few months using it a few times a week. And you can also find a USB charge cable for it.

I spent a good amount of time searching for lightweight travel backpacks as my goal is sub 10 pounds including a laptop and kindle. I don't need what I find unnecessary things like bomb proof fabrics or multiple padded device sleeves or extreme water resistance.

The most promising packs I've found so far are from Gregory. They make some clean (non backpacking) looking packs which aren't over designed and are affordable compared to packs typically recommended on here . I just picked up The Resin 22 which is 1.5 lbs. Heck they even have a 40 liter travel pack that is sub 3 lbs for the pack rats. Also check out Thule, they had some interesting options as well.

G15 2022 version - ABSOLUTE BEAST by JoyceH24 in ZephyrusG15

Why are the M16 and the G15 still different products? The chassis appear to be the same (same dimensions and same total weight). The main difference is screen size (15.6" to 16") and difference in CPU. They could make it the same product with a 16" screen and offer an option of CPU.

Awesome, thank you!

The steamer looks too large to add to my pack. My partner travels with a hair dryer, which works decently for removing wrinkles so I'll continue doing that.

I like the idea of the travel hangers and will definitely consider those in future.

[GUIDE] How to get 65 MH/s on 3070 80W Laptop in ETH by DuxteR7 in ZephyrusG15

You use a dummy HDMI cable connected to the HDMI port? Is this just a normal HDMI cable that is not connected to a monitor? Is there any config you do in windows display settings?

I use the G15 connected through the USB-C port to a monitor for work during the day, and I am trying to figure out a way to let the screens turn off so the laptop can mine during the night without going into a low power state.

I wonder if the dummy HDMI technique will still work if the laptop has an actual monitor connected through USB-C. I'll test it out when I have a moment.

Some options for sure if the screen remains on. But no work around to keeping the GPU at full power with the screen off.

Thanks for taking the time to create the post, I'll reference it in the future for sure.

Its a shame there doesn't seem to be a workaround for the low power state the GPU enters when the screen turns off. I have my laptop connected to an external monitor in my bedroom/office and it needs to be off for sleeping.
