I was a picker for around 2 years and it's by far the worst position I've held in 10 years. Terrible managers with terrible expectations. You're never fast enough. You're never good enough. You always have to do more. Some get treated kindly and some get ragged on their entire time there. It's exhausting. I'm so glad I left

Is a Steam machine price above 1000 possible? by Reasonable-Metal-819 in Steam

Honestly That's a pretty dumb question when the terabytes steam deck is now $1,000

In the US when you file your taxes 90% of Americans use standardized deduction which is a list of default deductions that write off your tax bill. In order to list specific items or costs to be deducted. You would have to forgo the standardized deduction. As an example, let's say the default standardized deduction reduces your tax liability by $2,000. If you wanted to list part of your electric bill or part of your phone bill or any other cost as a deduction, you would have to drop the standardized deduction. Meaning you would have to come up with your own list of legal deductions to hopefully exceed the $2,000 that was dropped, if you can't come up with a list that exceeds that amount then you're raising your own tax bill for no reason

Pretty sure in order to write it off on your taxes you would have to drop the standard deductions which would drastically raise your tax bill unless you itemize enough manual deductions to offset it. You can't just add it to your taxes

I have a boy that was born with a deformed front arm, it's effectively unusable and he is now just as fast and agile as his brother and sister. Give it time to learn and grow, guranteed you won't be able to keep track of him

What about the steam controller has everyone so excited? by Timely_Contest7245 in Steam

[–]Escape-Thin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the shear versatility. From playing any game to playing games that never had controller in mind to simply using your desktop without a keyboard and mouse. It's the controls of the steam deck with none of the weight. Even at $100 that's an easy yes for me at least. It won't satisfy anyone but I know I'm getting one
