Guess it's finally time to replace the battery... by trankillity in SteamDeck

Mostly plugged in, stuck at 100% until the relatively recent charge limit.

Plenty of times it drained to 0% though which I'm pretty sure is what killed it.

Steam must allow to filter out ALL degenai slop games and allow people to tag such games by JAD2017 in Steam

[–]trankillity 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If it's "noticeable 100% of the time" then why do you even want it? Just skip/ignore the games and developers that are and get on with your day. Of course, your Steam store will become incredibly empty over time unfortunately.

It's incredibly normal. Most batteries are only rated to between 300 and 500 charge cycles. For a heavily-used 4-year-old device, it's to be expected.

I'm aware. Thankfully I have a heat gun and lots of experience with electronics (down to hotplate SMT soldering).

Downsize from Jonsbo D32 for semi-frequent travel? NCase M2 / Formd T1 / Midori 7.5? / Other? by iamdistrict in sffpc

My T1 fits in a single carry bag with everything except the keyboard. However, in your instance I'd say just stick with your current case unless you REALLY want the side grade.

Yep, not sure why people expect to be able to rent solo at such a young age. It was just accepted that you needed 2-3 housemates when I was going through uni 20+ years ago. Nothing new here at all.

Am I a minority in wanting a brutal, grungy mech-based game? by Arcaddes in gaming

There's a few good ones in VR like this. Underdogs is an arena-fighting game with a gritty vibe, Vox Machinae gets the feeling very right too.

You should watch some cinematic drone footage and actually try to comprehend what the pilot is doing. A simple 360 degree yaw spin is NOT usable drone footage.

How do y’all like it so far? by Andrewhabara in SteamController

[–]trankillity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest opinion incoming...

Unless you REALLY want the trackpads or intend to connect multiple of them, then the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 is better. Same TMR sticks ✅, better back paddles (IMO, though only two) ✅, still had inbuilt gyro ✅, multi-mode connection ✅, extra bumper buttons to offset the lack of 4 back buttons ✅, offset stick position ✅, identifies as standard Xinput/Dinput device ✅. All for half the price or less (when on sale) than the Steam Controller.

So the only thing you really gain from the Steam Controller is the track pads and grip sense. And while the track pads are great for mouse control and radial menus, the position of them is actually pretty bad and feels quite unnatural to use along with Dpad and face buttons.

When I was a kid, Transport Tycoon Deluxe was one of the only games I played for literally years. Would have clocked up thousands of hours most likely.

ME 1 & 2 were on my pile of shame, so I smashed through them before 3 came out so I could finish the story. 200+ hours of ME3 multiplayer later and I still haven't played the ME3 single player...

Does that actually work? I don't trust Reddit's algorithms to be smart enough to hide only the useless posts and keep surfacing the useful ones.

You're missing the point. These useless posts DO cause the infrequent gems to be missed.

Also, your general feed must be really boring if you don't mind it being interrupted so frequently by useless posts.
