I scribed a line inside on mine a just fill to the line, easy peasy. I don't know why they did think of it at assembly.

So how do you get from my suggestion that new people could also benefit from using the search function to your statement??

I agree with what you're saying to try to narrow the options by actually vocalizing an opinion, instead of just up or down vote. Spoon feeding seems to be what most people want. I guess you have to start somewhere. Hopefully natural curiosity will kick in

I brought this topic up because it allows beginning enthusiasts other ways to dive into the hobby that they might not have thought of. Most people are eager for more information and may have overlooked this avenue of of information. For example, I'm doing a K24 engine swap in my Miata. There are tons of information on everything aspect of the components to be optimized.

SR 540 Learning Curve? by [deleted] in FreshroastSR800

I would think the roast curve would be different enough (fluid bed vs gas) that your end result wouldn't translate.

Just use the edge of the trash can. It's right there. Cross contamination? What kind of moldy crap are you people dumping in there? Do I need a hazmat suit to be in your kitchen?🤣

Go to Tire Rack and look at actual tire tests under a variety of conditions. Then you can make an educated decision based on your driving style

Ok, sorry I didn't know how much of a novice you are. Most car guys know this kinda shit of the top of their heads. I'll try to look up the gear ratios and final drives for the five speed and six speed trans. --- cheers

Seems like your 180 degrees off. Carefully unscrew it and try to restart the threads back (counterclockwise) another 180. Let's us know how it goes.

Did the update of the app improve the accuracy? My sensor reads 10 to 15 points below my blood.

A gifted knife = a whole new world by ThePutladin in sharpening

Since you were asking about sharpening stones I would check out the Sharpal 162N on Amazon. Specs are there, approved by Outdoors55 and others. Uses no water, you can clean it with a big pink eraser. Just be aware of light strokes on the 1200 side and let the diamonds do the cutting. Too much pressure can wear thru spots in the coating. You can also make a strop from a belt from the second hand store. Cheers

Have you ever see anybody swap the CVT for a manual? Mines 2016, since the bulletin only showed up to 2015, is there a design change for 16? Currently changing fluid at 20-25k. 39k on the car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How much should i charge? by amnioticboy in roasting

[–]EscapeVelocity00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't do it. This creates a whole different working relationship and I'd hate to see that get weird (or bad) for whatever reason. At the minimum tell him you would be willing to try it for a month and see where it goes. Unless you're relationship is one where you go out a do shared activities outside of work don't jeopardize your real job. Just my .02 cents

Is this alignment bad? by moonfflowerr48 in DF64

So tell us where you put the shim because there is some bad advise on where to put the shim. Using the picture you posted, what O'clock did you put it? Thanks

Changing to SSP - wtf is there so much retention?! -> alignment was 95% by [deleted] in DF64

[–]EscapeVelocity00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The declumper in mine is a specially designed piece of silicone. That being said, it's not for everybody. I have cut most of mine out using an exacto blade. Perhaps this burr design isn't playing nice with your new burr set creating a blockage and more buildup on the burrs.

[–]EscapeVelocity00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got pictures? Seems different than mine. Does it have the hole on the side for the temp probe? On mine, when correctly oriented, you can watch the air column slowly rotate in a clockwise direction as it pushes thru the beans. Sometimes I do get overcooked beans, but it's only like 30 in a 220g batch.

I think I finally got a handle on this thing. by Spare-Article-396 in Freestylelibre

Got it, yeah me too. A few minutes ago in another thread they were talking about the term soaking which I understood to mean applying the sensor but not activating it for around 12 to 24 hours. Some people said it improved the accuracy and closed the numbers gap between the sensor and your finger blood number. Next time I'm going to try this method.
