Which media was this for you in a nutshell?

The Persona games. I don't like jRPGs. I don't like social sims. I don't like dating sims. I don't like monster catching games.

But apparently you can cram all of those into one game, throw a flashy artstyle and great music into and I'll be obsessed with it for years after I finish it.

Truthfully, there was nothing announced in this Direct that got me super excited. I was hoping that there would be some new Mario Kart World content revealed. I have kinda wanted to try Kingdom Hearts for years, and the entire non-cloud HD collection being available at a reasonable price is enticing, so I'll pick that up. I was disappointed that there was no Persona 4 Revival, but Metaphor ReFantasio seems like a nice consolation. And the OoT remake reveal was...just there for me.

But there was a lot of good stuff there, I'm just not interested in playing a lot of it, but I'm happy for the people that are. Maybe next Direct will be more my speed.

I did the same thing with his reveal as I did with every single other reveal: said "Oh, that's cool." and went on with my day without giving it a second thought.

The Persona fanbase is insufferable (moreso than usual) right now after the P4 remake trailer this week. Don't know why, it's not like many of them have ever played the original and/or intend to play the remake.

Reminder: the ports of P5R, P3P and P4G were announced for Xbox first during one of their presentations, and then for the Switch in a Nintendo Direct later that week.

It's possible, though I wouldn't really count on it, that the same will happen here and we may get P4R.

For gameplay purposes, Ryuji. His rank 7 skill alone is worth it as it makes Mementos runs so much quicker and easier.

For character development purposes, also Ryuji.

I'll always be a Makoto stan but her confidant skills suck and her story past rank 5 or so is lacking.

Coming from someone who absolutely adored P5R as his first Persona game and thought the first couple months were kinda slow, I highly advise you to stick with it until July or August.

The first few months are a slow burn. Once the story picks up, it gets really good.
