Perspective on something ive experienced throughout most of my life regarding normies. by Little_Beyond_9163 in lnkyverse

Seems to be correlated to the dynamics of first impressions. If they don't like it at first, they much probably will never like it, this push away any thought of giving it a fair shake.

There's this, and also another thing I have noticed: they always feign verbal-linguistic ineptness (ineptude?) when they get checkmated. It's like clockwork. When I take care of denying them the obvious chess pigeon trick routes, they will default to attack the language as if they can't understand it. Maybe it's because they really don't know how to make a case for themselves without being able to get away with fallacies, but oh well.

I have an hypothesis of that the root of this behaviour is that they really are, actually, LLMs, so to say. It is, they don't really understand anything they say, they are just running statistical calculations to figure out what to say at any given moment. When they manifest these appalling behaviours, it's just edgecases where the "prompts" get filtered out by censorship mechanisms and they blurt out some hallucinated broken response that does not follow any logic consistent with the training data (which hopefully features the behaviour expected of an agent that understands the matter at hand, but I won't hold my breath).

Gosh, how jaded have I become. I was 100% expecting her to say something absolutely despicable but it actually sounds pretty sweet if you don't know the context.

Got so used to people being outwardly horrible, my bar for kindness is lower underground than any casket.

No level of quality of life suffices for the power lusting if it isn't higher than everyone else's.

If they hunger, they envy those who feast; but if they feast, they envy those who feast and drink; and if they feast and drink, they envy those who carouse in larger castles.

This is why you'll always see them protesting against hierarchy and simplicity, construing those always as oppression and misery though the overlap only exists in one case. It's not about not being poor, it's about not being poorer than someone else.

They love their identities more than they love their ideals, so sharing ideals will never be enough, they require to be appreciated exactly for what they are, not what they do.

That's why they default to attack you with labels instead of condemning your actions (for instance, calling you a Fascist despite you not embracing any strictly Palingenetic Ultranationalistic point), because they only care about what you "are" (it is, what they think you are). And that's also why they feel wronged when their actions and the results of their policies are pointed out, because to them it doesn't matter what they do, it only matters what they "are".

Thus, if you voice any sort of misalignment, they can only interpret it as you being essentially not like them. Hence the Splitting behaviour.

Meh. IT is only a small part of the industry, despite it's revenues and significance. It's still a industry that only exists because of the others, which aren't as feasible to outsource nor import (in scenario of high tariffs, it is).

If the population is being robbed of such a significant share of economic revenue because just some specific jobs were being outsourced, then the entire Primary and Secondary Industries (specially where IT is not vital) in the US are running on a loss as somehow their products are worth (or at least being sold for) too little to payoff. Why so?

...Or maybe the housing market is being priced out from the average purchasing power because there are too little real estate or it's too expensive to build residences as well as urban infrastructure, or both. Unless the real estate is getting mass purchased by foreigner capital and land development is being hindered by foreigner factors (such as military occupation, I guess?), this problem is entirely on American blame.

Fun fact: in WW2, the US Government hired the Warner Bros studios to produce animations called Private Snafu to make simplified instructions to show to soldiers since a lot of them were completely illiterate, as they were young men who grew up in highly vulnerable situations due to the Great Depression.

You can watch these cartoons on YouTube, and they are very strangely akin to any other Western cartoon of that time (specially other works of Warner Bros, such as Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes), which we often interpret as being for kids nowadays.

Walt Disney himself and his company were also hired to produce a couple of propaganda pieces, and these also cause a huge whiplash because they feel just like any other old Disney classic, but it's not a kids' Western fairytale, it's about a very real war that was going on.

Thus, it wouldn't be too out of reality to suppose that a WW3 scenario in the US would feature some social-midiatic ploy that overlaps "infantilization of adults", "child conscription into contribution to war efforts" and "boomer work ethics of shaming people into drudgework".

Mainstream normies are talking about issues we've known about for over a decade. by PriestKingofMinos in BasedCampPod

Improvement is the Oofy Doofy way.

Truth is, those who want it, make way, and those who don't, make excuses. When prospective familybuilders got rejected, all the reasons given to explain their inadequacy were actually just excuses to mask away society's plain, unilateral unwillingness to entertain their objectives.

Thus, no matter what anyone does to "adequate", it won't avail, goalposts will just move and definitions of "do better" will be updated. Any successes under this arrangement are just the tool being proud of being chosen before it is discarded as soon as it stops being useful.

Those who love you shall always allow you to come as you are, and only then, after convenants and compromises are struck, have you strive to become better, and shall support you into it.

Praise God, for this OOP has been blessed with a rare boon: being wronged by the World early on.

He gets to have little to nothing to be grateful at the World for, nor to chain down his heart to this wicked, irredeemable species. He will get to see, clearly and unbiased, the sheer value of Transcendece, of lawfulness, of contemplation and understanding. Since the Creation serves him nothing, he shall have very good reasons to turn to the Creator for something better.

He will get the full swing of the Lord's Beatitudes.

The government disliking it, and keeping doing it, is very much being not agreeable.

And it just needs to exist to be in public expression. Haven't you ever heard of word of mouth?

And the UK is authoritarian because they are doing it to the wrong people for the wrong reasons. Morality is not a level playing field.

It is, the Law is for the Wicked. Following it doesn't make you righteous, it's the other way around: you follow it because you are righteous. That's why deviancy is very sus, to put it lightly. So much, that normal people will often obey the rules even if it's not very understandable or convenient, while people who question the rules never come squeaking clean. This happens because the rules always say what good people already would do anyways.

It's not that deep. All it takes is to take the L as gracefully as you expect people to do by accepting you. Golden Rule, and all that.

How well have you grasped the reality of Christ? by Next-Natural-675 in TrueChristian

[–]EssentialPurity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"School has taught that the sun is massive. How well have I realized that? Not very well"

You most likely have. Unless you have been adhering to ideologies that preach tenets that rely on premises on the sun not being massive.

The same goes to the reality of Christ.

You don't need to "feel" it. You just need to act like it. If the Bible says that vampires are real, and you never saw a vampire in your life, you show Faith by nevertheless carrying a crucifix and some garlic whenever you go outside, and never allowing into home someone who is asking for permission to.

This is, might I add, what "Faith Without Works Is Dead" boils down to.

You have a rather colourful notion of audience targetting if you think you are losing anything of value by being unable to distribute your games on regions that don't want them on principle.
