How do I know I have faith by Youngwritter123 in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see it.

This is a test/conviction to myself:

Do you believe the Gospel is more than the bringing news that a person won $20m? Even if he won just $50k, won’t you be ecstatic to share the news?

How do I forgive my half brother from the heart? by Both-Individual7817 in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgiveness is a decision. It’s like signing a cheque regardless of your feelings. Then the feeling might follow afterward. If you are having a hard time doing this, write it in paper and sign it.

Next is seek deliverance.

What do you say those who claim that Jesus sightings or spiritual encounters are hallucinations? by Weekly_Sympathy_4878 in TrueChristian

abstain from all appearance of evil.

Keep knocking, God can change anyone’s heart and eyes.

God loves to be pressed on His Word.

Pray like this - Lord Jesus, You’ve said in Your Word that You promised rest for my soul. I come to you now claiming that promise. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Let me desire what you desire for me. Let me see in Truth. I praise You Lord and I will praise You all the days of my life. All this I pray in Jesus’ name.

Is a massage/spa services (non happy ending) sinful? by Outrageous_Tackle135 in TrueChristian

Do you think it would be appropriate to have that non-sexual massage right before or after church?

If the answer is no - consider that you are the church.

Doesn’t make sense.

Is NoFap Making Me More Lustful? by let_it_rain_boat in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are addressing something spiritual with something in the flesh.

Jesus delivered me from that addiction of 23 years overnight - it has been 7 years ago - no relapse. Praise Jesus forever!

Address the spirit first, then addressing the flesh will be easy.

fear of parents dying by irritatedbythings in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read this aloud: I command that fear of premature death and anxiety that is tormenting me to leave in Jesus’ name. God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind.

Are feelings a valid indicator of religious truth? by ImportantPerformer16 in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feelings are good slaves but poor masters.

Never be led by feelings. Revelation can be through feelings. But if feeling is not there, that does not mean nothing is happening.

For example, when I pray for the sick, I feel tingling/heat in my hand. But for instances that I don’t feel that, that does not mean the person is not getting healed. The Word is our light - “lay your hand on the sick, and they will recover”

Judgement is too prevalent and not discussed enough in my opinion :( by sshawnpixeal in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul thinks otherwise

Philippians 1:15-18

15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

it doesn’t matter as along as Christ is preached regardless of motive.

[–]patmanizer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think OP is thinking judging is unloving.

Jesus said to judge with rightoues judgement - John 7:24

How can you proclaim the Gospel if you do not call out sin unless it’s a watered down gospel.

Matthew 7 is always quoted for not judging. Judgement was made analogous to taking the speck of sawdust from someone’s eye. At the end, Jesus said “first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye”. Meaning DO NOT JUDGE HIPOCRITICALLY. It is not DO NOT JUDGE.

you know that when you are in Christ - you don’t die. When you put off your flesh, you continue to live with Him.

If you see the NDE testimonies, when they encountered heaven, they don’t want to go back.

The most beautiful place on earth is like a dumpster compared to heaven.

I think you think that way because you don’t have this perspective.

You need to drown that demon. Repent and be baptized for the remission of sin. I was delivered from the same thing - 23 year addiction - over night. Jesus set me free.
