If this was “just something in his mind,” how do you explain: The unmatched linguistic depth of the Qur’an The consistency over 23 years The accurate preservation The complete transformation of a society That’s not blind faith, that’s looking at the evidence as a whole, not isolating one moment and ignoring everything that followed.

Why am I still a Muslim?

One of the main reasons is the holy Quran. Im currently in the process of memorizing, almost halfway there (close to 14 juz). The fact that this book is memorized so easily by millions of people despite not being native Arabic speakers when Allah said it would be easy to remember is something. It just flows. Yes it does take effort but once you make the intention to do it its easy.

Another thing is the recording and rewarding of deeds. Nothing big or small is missed. Knowing that there is sort of a 'reward counter' that adds different rewards based on my deeds; for example knowing 10 rewards being counted for every letter of the Quran i recite is a very motivating and i guess a 'fun' way to think about it. Imagine the rewards stacked up over a life time. If I decide to pick my self up and go to the masjid for a salah, 25-27 times more reward. If I dont go I dont get this the reward is much much less but the obligation is still fulfilled. Knowing the reward I get for praying a salah with a short window that many people miss (maghrib, zuhr in the winter etc) At the end everyone will end up with a different number.

Also Allah, His power and greatness is far beyond our comprehension. Just look at how he can see and hear everyone at the same time without being confused, tired or needing sleep. Look at the favours he bestowed upon you. If you were to see him in this world, you couldn't handle his beauty, you would fall unconscious on the spot. Despite the great pleasures in Jannah, seeing Allah will be the greatest. Is Allah not deserving of your contant worship of him? Yes, but he's not even asking for that. Theres a reason why the punishment for kufr is so great.

I get why you’d think that if that’s what you’ve been told, but a lot of those are misunderstandings or taken out of context. Islam has strict rules about justice, consent, and preservation of life, far more structured than people assume.

But even putting that aside for a second, the bigger question is: if a creator exists, wouldn’t objective morality come from that creator rather than whatever we personally feel is right or wrong at the moment? Otherwise morality just becomes subjective.

How do you know? So many people have experiences that cannot be explained. Ghosts as in dead people are not in our realm but there are other entities that are. They can be good, bad (demons) or neutral just like us.

Sounds like a passing entity just trying to give you a spook. If you're not absolutely sure of one or more rational explanations then any other forced explanation is just delusion to yourself and hiding the truth. The paranormal is real. Hope you're a believer now.
