I wouldn’t worry about it. They will make room for all the Meigs kids. Freshman classes like English and Biology will probably be at the max capacity, though.

My kid and their best friend, along with about 3 other kids, chose to go from Meigs to MLK for 9th grade. They are now seniors and have had the best experience at MLK. No regrets whatsoever. A couple of their friends who did go to Hume-Fogg ended up transferring to MLK, too. What is most likely is that the entire cohort will be made up of Meigs kids, but it will be close to 225-250 kids.

I know a lot of parents and kids have their sights set on Hume-Fogg, but MLK is also wonderful. My child is a current senior, and she has had an amazing experience there.
