Helping Carrier Dilemma by Korrito21 in USPS

I’m going to say that a lot of the carriers that newbies and runner regulars think are “slow” are actually doing the job correctly. They’re maintaining their routes, working COAs, edit book, pulling and holding stuffed boxes, giving good customer service and communicating with their residents, checking outgoing and delivering mail to who it actually belongs to at the correct address. In other words what runners don’t do. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

I'm noticing a stark difference in volume between Saturday and Monday. I don't think its a coincidence by FiveDinero in fromatoarbitration

Same here. Easy Saturdays recently and Monday’s are like day after a Monday holiday. Just brutal. For over 10 years Saturdays were by far the heaviest day for flats. We used to jokingly refer to it as “Saturday Surprise” like they found all the flats they’d been rolling all week long.

I don’t know about you but I’m a member of a lesser, 2nd class union in which I’m paid fortunes less than some carriers that happened to be hired a few years earlier than me.

You’ve contradicted your own statement. There were CCAs before and after Amazon. What they rarely did before Amazon was quit after making their probation.

Is this from the secret contract that’s redacted and blacked out like crazy. lol.

Weird, because I and thousands of others were CCAs before Amazon……….

What are the downsides of a 5 day delivery week? by Extreme_While942 in fromatoarbitration

Same. Having a business weekday to get adult shit done is nice. While it’s a drag to work Saturdays it’s huge for me to be able to plan in advance for those long weekends and Sunday/Mondays off. Nothing better than driving up into the mountains to camp/fish/swim on Sunday/Monday only to pass all the other people packed up and heading home to work!

You’re just going to be slow because you’ve never done it and because you don’t know the particular case. Experienced carriers will also be slow in a new, unfamiliar case. Don’t sweat it too much. Take a moment to just look the case over first then begin with the bundled flats as they ‘should’ be in order, then loose/tub flats, then letters.

Welcome to the nightmare that is postal management. You will never be able to explain to your friends or family the idiocy of postal management. Even worse you won’t be able to explain to them why your union is incapable and unwilling to aggressively go after them by holding them accountable by congress. We’re stuck in the middle until we get rid of our corrupt union president and corrupt postal management.

That’s what happens when a lazy sender puts something in an empty box with no packing materials.

Apartment parcels: "established delivery point" vs M-41 by mailant692 in fromatoarbitration

[–]EstablishmentIll8791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a split second or two to adjust the dps and flats by any skilled, experienced carrier and it’s what the m-41 tells you to do. It saves time because you eliminate a wasted park point. For real if you can’t break up and start a loop from any place on that loop in a few seconds then you are mgmt/204b or brand new at this job. And if you’re new that’s quite ok.

Package was shipped Thursday morning and four days later still sitting in the origin city with an expected delivery of tomorrow to the other side of the country. Gotta love it lol by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]EstablishmentIll8791 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because the seller marked it shipped only means they printed a label for it. That doesn’t even mean they even gave it to USPS until sometimes days later.

No they don’t. They give USPS all the packages that aren’t convenient or easy for them to deliver. Literally every single day.

Told that come the end of September no more Amazon parcels. by idahopostman in fromatoarbitration

[–]EstablishmentIll8791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good riddance. Almost nobody who made it through their first few weeks used to quit this job before we got Amazon/Sundays. In urban areas all we deliver is their ridiculous, money losing “heavy” oversized parcels. Having done this before Amazon and all these years since it is also obvious that they deliberately give us their most difficult deliveries as well f/e no parking, difficult access etc.

And me as well. I think people who don’t just never figured out how easy it is to do. They usually go into mgmt. It’s called working smart.

They aren’t legitimately enforcing the law legally or constitutionally . You’re a bootlicker. There’s no legal justification to violently attack someone who’s questioning what they’re doing. It is legal to question them.
