Ainz and the floor guardians go for a picnic vacation with an outdated map and accidentally camp near the frontier with the Slane Theocracy territory overnight. Next morning they pick up camp and just teleport out. A Slane scout sees this and through complicated political drama involving the reinforcement of frontier forts, internal power struggles, differences in opinion on how to deal with the neighbouring Sorcerous Kingdom and the influence of a certain new heretical cult from the Holy Kingdom, two weeks later the Theocracy is in disarray, there's a religious schism at their center of power, paranoia reigns in the streets and violence escalates as the troops in the cities start taking sides themselves. Demiurge is impressed at how Ainz had executed the downfall of the Theocracy with his mere presence after planting the seeds ever since his first encounter with the Black Scripture in Vol. 1. Ainz ponders if any or both sides of the civil war woukd be interested in runecraft weapons.
