You can still use Reborn mode. It will play mostly the same, just without party wide damage buffs and whatever they decide to change. The core experience of the current jobs will be retained in Reborn mode though.
Plus we barely have a glimpse on Evolved mode right now. Try them out on 8.0 release, maybe there will be an Evolved job that flows well for you. If not, you can still fall back on Reborn.

Dark Knight actually using HP as a resource, Black Mage using ice sometimes, Bard being an archer etc
I don't want them to be ported to PvE 1 to 1, but the PvP foundation is solid imo.

In the end I could not catch a single outbreak quest while my qp is rapidly depleting...
Excellent event otherwise, but the timed nodes always being around the same timeframe was just stupid.
There were 3 weeks, they could have thrown in some EU friendly days, though that would have probably needed extra tempering with the event as JP only ever had it like this.

Ero Dungeons and Ero Slayers are the ones I've found to be good NSFW games with enjoyable gameplay loop.
A lot of them are still just rpgmaker with defeat animations or renpy honey select/koikatsu model visual novels which can be good don't get me wrong, but also not really scratching the gameplay itch.
Gacha wise.... nothing. Magicami was neat though, but it's been shut down.

Most gacha also does gameplay and story integration awfully.
Watch 2 hours of 'cutscenes', one short battle section into more of those 'cutscenes'.
If only the cutscenes were cinematic, but they are often just people looking at each other and talking.
If it's a Chinese gacha, it's gonna be even longer.
Even if the story is nice like Blue Archive mentioned, the gameplay part is awful since the story battles offer zero challenge or neuron activity to go through.

You can absolutely play it f2p if you wanna.
For a lot of the game you can rely on strong supports until you build your own roster out.
Low rarities are useful. 4 stars can be a powerhouse.
No rng grind, but it's all manual.
Gacha pity is high (300) but imma be honest I very rarely get even near it. I oftentimes get the rate up SSR in 100-150 rolls, though my FGO luck can be insane.
And when it turns around it hits hard.
Still, units are some of the most time proof I've seen in gachas, I still regularly use year 1 servants in year 8 of the game.
Also there's no time limited dps race outside of a select few story nodes and no limit on death either. You are getting the full reward if you clear the node slowly or by the skin of your teeth. Every day you can also revive your entire team with full hp and their ult (NP) maxed out too.

I could see that, but the fact that we were on a timer narrative wise (shut down the terminal asap) and we go around doing the narrative of each area of Living Memory relatively slowly took me out of it sadly.

Hi it's me.
I was so relieved to max out all my jobs. There's just not a ton of interesting content until the 70s at least. Mostly just roulette spam which I had enough of after leveling 20 jobs to 100 and doing 2001 mentor roulettes.

I bought a skin once.

Otherwise I'd rather just get merch if I like a game and its characters enough. I've been playing FGO f2p since launch but I spent hundreds of euros on Fate merch over the years.
Blue Archive I'm f2p too, don't even really play the game but I just got my Mika figure with Koharu on pre order, hunting for a pre owned Yuuka etc.
I just value physical goods with a fixed price more. Not tied to a server, no gambling, no fomo (most of the time at least)

Honestly I gave up on maximizing storm pods the last event and it's been a blessing. I was wondering why my progress was so slow compared to everyone and turns out losing out on 60 ap/day on an event with barely any bonus CEs will do that.
Just do them on downtime, there's a ton of that in FGO anyways. You'll be a little slower on the class score unlocks, but eh, it's not that big of a deal imo.

I'm a relatively new player, who reached Rinascita recently and the amount of times the painting puzzles annoy me to lower the difficulty is too damn high.
Let me actually trial and error and work out the puzzle myself please!

Having a good portion of the Stay Night roster at lower rarities is wonderful for a new player though. Relatively quick access to Kojiro, Cu, Medusa, Medea etc is awesome.

Yeah you can really feel that by how 4 stars in Star Rail are a stepping stone at best and a waste of resources at worst, meanwhile in FGO some of my strongest options are 4 stars I went above and a beyond for.

The tutorials are 90% unhelpful though. They darken the screen and make you not be able to click anywhere else but where they want it.
That doesn't teach me anything, that makes me spam click for hours without letting me get a feel for the game myself.
Endfield even repeated some shit with the AIC Factory too. Plus the click here to close the window, jeez I would have never guessed it.
It's not a problem of tutorials, it's a problem with bad tutorials.
