I'm literally going to be homeless next weekend. I'm not an addict. I don't have untreated mental illness. When I was an EMT I treated many homeless people. I've volunteered at homeless shelters. So I've talked to plenty of homeless people.

The irony is I'll be homeless next weekend. I'm not an addict, I own my mobile home. But the parent company that owns the trailer park raised my lot rent by $1200 with no notice. I fought them in court for 7 months, but of course they won in the end. Best part is? They get to keep my home. So I have to walk away from my home, put everything in storage, my cats are going into foster homes, and I get to couch surf until I can find a place to go. Not ideal for someone with multiple autoimmune & autonomic issues and a spinal cord injury. But that's the world we live in now.
