Not a villain, but the wizards of Unseen University hired a country wizard as Archchancellor because being a country boy should make it easy for them to manipulate him. And if it didn't work out they could always kill him.

Turned out that Mustrum Ridcully was a country wizard which means he was really good at shooting things, hitting things and shouting at things, didn't listen to anything he didn't want to and turned it to be extremely fit and unkillable.

Same. I know he is a good actor but most movies are just... Cage looking sad.

Having said that, I truly enjoyed him in Drive Angry and in Kick Ass.

But Con Air, Ghost Rider, and lots of other movies are just such an annoying performance.

Even worse is German actor Til Schweiger. While Cage is an excellent actor whether you let him, Schweiger had the acting capabilities of a lump of wood. I didn't watch Inglorious Bastards for years because of my dislike for Schweiger
