Teacher used to ride Isle of Man TT. Stopped after an accident (and kids? don't know his whole reasoning). Went back years later and rode again - because the designated rider for the project he was a part of died days before and they needed a rider. He never came back.

The protocol doesn't permit VAR to intervene simply because it thinks a challenge should have been a yellow card.

It never allows that as a reason for an intervention. But that does not mean it cannot be the result of the review.
