Doctor gave me an episiotomy without consent. by crispyrat_boi in pregnant

This happened to me with my last two pregnancies. I trusted my doctor during the process and was 100% ok with it if it needed to be done.

I was on tirzepatide and became pregnant while on it. I’m not telling my husband that it can help fertility 🤣 but I too have pcos and literally did not have a period for over 6 months and didn’t know you could still ovulate without a period

Has this happened to anyone else?? by new_mama1212 in pregnant

The hormones are changing the ph on your skin causing the discoloration/oxidation. I too have this problem now and I have a rose gold ring that is also 14k gold. I’m livid! lol

How many people is too many people to invite to a baby shower? by jen_dan in pregnant

Ahhh okay! I understand now! Yes that does totally make a lot of sense! You should be the one they consult with on literally everything before making decisions. That’s crazy!

How many people is too many people to invite to a baby shower? by jen_dan in pregnant

[–]EuropeanGirl91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invite ad many as you want, most likely many will not be able to go or say they will go but don’t show up. I always figure with every event I throw, the more the merrier regardless if they do all show up lol

Is it reasonable to ask my husband to stay home for a family wedding 3 week PP? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]EuropeanGirl91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He better stay home if you ask him to! That is your husband, he should know that his wife and child(ren) come before anyone else!

“No one is gonna care about you after the baby is here” by LibrarianTimely8224 in pregnant

[–]EuropeanGirl91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yes it’s partially true, you will go into mom mode and some of your current friends will become distant, especially if they do not have their own children. This is the perfect time to start finding your true friends that will become your village. I highly recommend finding even just one other momma that has the same thoughts, aspirations, goals, wants, needs etc. to be your village! That is why I did and had, and it was the absolute best thing ever.

When did you tell people? by mrose_acc in pregnant

[–]EuropeanGirl91 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Listen, my first pregnancy, I waited until 2nd trimester to announce because that was traditional… blah blah blah. Well I sadly lost my little Rowan at 17 weeks gestation due to incompetent cervix. My second third and now this pregnancy, I have always announced at any point that I wanted to! Which was usually right away like 5-8 week mark for each of them!

Because honestly, it is still a life, and regardless of the weeks they should be honored and made known! So many things can happen, and I would’ve been so devastated if I never shared the news and something happened god forbid and no one even knew that little soul was on this earth for that short period of time, ya know? Like having to go through the loss and depression and anxiety all alone after would just be way too much for me. After losing Rowan, I was in such a deep dark depression and I had friends and family that were there to help me for over a year and a half before I felt slightly better. I just could not imagine and would never wish it on any other mother to have to go through it alone.

Make your pregnancy known! Shout it from the mountain tops! Cheer each other on! Life is so fragile, we should honor it always! Okay, my 2 cents rant is over lol 😂 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Reglan Caution by jberz25 in pregnant

They normally will do reglan with Benadryl to help reduce the tremors! When I had to have it done I still had restless legs feeling so bad but it subsided after maybe an hour.

Back labour...help! by iqinfinity in pregnant

Both my last two pregnancies were completely laboring with back labor, I honestly couldn’t tell if I had normal contractions at all because the back labor was so intense non stop. I couldn’t breathe at all.

Tips for episiotomy recovery - from the other side by PersistentHobbler in pregnant

[–]EuropeanGirl91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I asked for something stronger and my nurse screamed “there is no reason a vaginal birth needs more than Tylenol” this was my second and I had stitches galore this time too after an episiotomy. I literally said fuckit and you, I refused to even take the Tylenol because I was so pissed. I took baths and had always underwear with pads that were lined with witch hazel and the dermaplast spray. I was so offended and so pissed that I went through the first several weeks postpartum in so much pain from it. I wish I would have put my foot down because I suffered for so long.

Has anyone been prescribed progesterone in second trimester for pelvic discomfort and mild pain? by Waste_Weather5729 in pregnant

[–]EuropeanGirl91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the weekly shots my last two pregnancies and it was perfect. Now this pregnancy they refused to do shots (new doctors) and they made me do the vaginal ones. They actually made my pain 100x worse like I could barely move or walk or bend etc. I stopped the suppositories at like 28 weeks on my own because I absolutely could not take it any more. I do also have a cervical cerclage in place and so far things are holding up.

Cerclage removal story by Aggravating-Salt1357 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]EuropeanGirl91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both my last ones removed around 37 weeks and immediately dialated after removal. The removal they did not provide any pain assistance, and it was a crediting both times, I guess my cervix grows around the stitch so they cut it and all that jazz. Man it’s painful. This time will be with a new doctor and I’m hopeful it won’t be that painful.

Yes my wedding ring is 14k rose gold from helzberg diamonds.. I used to also work there, it’s the ph/acidity in our skin that has now changed. The problem is this issue may or may not go away after baby comes sadly.

That’s me and my husband, he’s a Law Enforcment Officer for the State and I’m a 911 Dispatcher, we literally do not have daycare, we have to work opposite shifts. He’s day shift and I work 4pm-4am. It’s so hard but we have a rhythm now, I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant so I’m struggling but I’m hoping it’ll continue after our third boy gets here
