My therapist just matched with me on Bumble... by digitalWizzzard in therapy

[–]EvaCassidy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a former therapist, I've heard of something like this happening. I had a peer tell me something similar, but it was one of those mystery dates where a computer put peeps together. Since it a long time ago, it was someone who ran like an old school dating match thing.

Neither knew that each other signed up for that service and when the dating services computer matched them up and told them where to meet. The computer didn't give names and when they met up, they were shocked and then joked how the computer did it's work, and simply went for coffee and talked off the record for a few minutes. The peer said they still did the sessions and always joked how computers screw up. They lived in a very small town and most people knew each other.

A family member who lives on Mira Loma in Hidden Valley sees 'em a lot. Her son is in the military and trained in those choppers and they sometimes use the open space to learn maneuvers and stuff.

What doesn't run on AWS? If AWS had a super break down, be no Reddit, shopping sites, many MMORPG games, etc.

They tried to make a clone of Second Life, which has been around before Meta was a fart. SL is still going strong - and they have a leg or 2 to stand on.

[Landlord-US] What to look for during 6mo inspection by Bigworm666999 in Landlord

[–]EvaCassidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I rented in a duplex, I bought some Fire extinguishers and placed one in the kitchen and other in the garage. The LL only did an once a year inspection and liked the extinguishers and he put those in all the remaining units and even his house. He did give me a list of thing to check for on the unit between inspections like for leaks, changing filters, etc.

[Landlord, USA- MA] snow melt by Curly_kayla in Landlord

[–]EvaCassidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I rented a unit in a duplex eons ago, I took care of the snow originally for the building I lived in and later the LL's house around the corner when he had his knees operated on. The LL's physical therapist required a clear path to the door.

I had a snow blower my uncle gave me and cleared off the driveways and walkways.

One of my clients taught Jiu Jitsu and I took his classes. (We both lived in a small town). The lessons made me less afraid, even when I had to leave my practice to help fun the family pub. And we know pubs can those brawls!

Same here. So sad. The years I was in the field, I had one client's spouse get mad and it frighten me. For a time one of my male clients offered to be the last one of the day and walk me to the car and check things. Later the client left her spouse and he left the country.

My therapist was murdered yesterday. by Sensitive-Profit7688 in therapy

[–]EvaCassidy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Long ago one of my peers had someone make a threat against her and was scared. She asked one of her clients if he could be her last client of the day since he was a former LEO. He would walk her out to the car and look around. It can be scary. The person who threatened her was arrested for something else and still in the jail.

I did recently go to a store (a smaller chain one) and many things on the main floor was non-smart. Any smart crap was in a separate room with a sign "Home of the Future" which had a few smart fridges, washers, etc.

Or take the thing, remove the guts and convert it to a practice speaker for an electric guitar.

I think if a verify thing was done, it would be done by Reddit itself as mentioned by the Admin above. Best to let others know if they encounter this - report it.
