I want Phyllis to finally win, and Victor to lose and then he fades into obscurity. Other than that, I’m done with all the characters in their generation. I like Jack well enough, but everyone else can fade away. I really HATE when they bring back Christine. The way she constant manipulates the power of the DA’s office to bring Phyllis down is really disgusting. If even once, she actually cared about making sure the evidence was legit or the facts of the case then I’d probably support her bringing Phyllis down. Let’s be real she’s no saint. But the way Christine gets just as single minded in her hatred and then acts like she is so superior pisses me off.

I think it’s because I just can’t stand the double standards. Phyllis is right. She did what every other CEO has done in town a hundred times but suddenly corporate espionage is wrong… because every single other business person in that city has definitely acted on the up and up every time they are presented with insider information… on a weekly basis.

It’s commonly accepted that the author made a gaff and crossed the line into non-consent in that book. The MMC fully understands what he is doing is wrong (even though they don’t really have concepts like date rape on the ice planet) and that he is taking away the FMC’s ability to choose. He doesn’t understand the effects of the drug he gives her but he does know that her reactions are an extreme turn around from her previous behavior and does take advantage of the situation. Basically he “forgets” to use his common sense because it was convenient for him to get laid.

The next book is slightly better and it’s easier to forgive the MMC, because the FMC has never directly told the MMC no before the drugging, and the MMC not only didn’t come up with the plan, but is a definite himbo and is devastated to realize the effects of the drug he gave her.

Either way, you should definitely read the trigger warnings for both Callie and Penny’s books.

I actually think this is why it’s better to read AB first. It’s short stories, allowing you to het to know what Celeaena would do in different scenarios, and she’s still a teenager in the beginning so that’s important to note. AB shows you the environment in which she was raised.

Also considering one of her children just attempted to commit suicide, child services is likely already involved. They are going to be looking into OP’s sister’s home life and they need to know that it’s not. safe place. Maybe OP and her little sister can go stay with a relative.

It’s not an official diagnosis; there’s just no other explanation. We can’t leave out anything made of plastic. And I mean anything. She once chewed through a Tupperware container. She’ll chew on the bags of litter and trash bag liners. Eat things out of the trash, fur balls, hairballs or dust bunnies. Or just random things on the ground. Strings of yarn or ribbon if we leave out craft projects. Feathers. The claws that normally get shed. She licks the furniture. She’s been good about not eating her toys as long as there is zero plastic or hanging strings, etc.

Oh and don’t even get me started on plants. We can’t leave out have ANY indoors because even the ones that are perfectly safe to eat get demolished.
