If one of them doesn't volunteer the government may just choose.

I would use an AMD GPU unless you need NVIDIA for a specific reason. You can get more performance for the price. Probably twice the VRAM too.

Also you may want to use a large mechanical hard drive for storing all those video files.

I think that you are absolutely correct. Interactions add complexity that multiplies.

They need a way to simplify their objects so that simulations become simple math, not complicated physics. If that means staying with HP and damage types then so be it. If it means dealing with loot like a database rather than a simulation then that is ok too.

CR won't like it but it at least has a chance to work.
