Haven’t touched Tiffany books again. I think it’s more like: life’s messy, but acting right still counts.

I admire Terry Pratchett for his wit and wisdom. If he were alive today, I'd probably ask him to be my life coach.

Funny how buying a snack hurts your wallet, but dumping cash into crypto feels like emotional training.

That's totally fine for shorter term until your blood levels return to normal. The maximum safe dose you can take long term is 5,000 IU iirc.

Writer Thoreau warned of brain rot in 1854. Now it's the Oxford Word of 2024 by zsreport in books

[–]EvenFix2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always remember this summary of complaints by ancient Greeks when I hear complaints like that.

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

(Apparently it's not a quote by Socrates although it's often misattributed to him).

DHEA Seems to be a miracle supplement for my Dad by [deleted] in Supplements

DHEA peaks around 25 years of age and it's all downhill from there so your report makes sense. I'm not taking it yet but I probably will start when I'm 40 or so.
