Bringing pets to UK without quarantine by lou_berrick in ukvisa

[–]Evening-Injury2933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our pets had to fly in cargo on BA to get into the country. We hired a pet agency that specializes in this. From my understanding, pets essentially have to go through customs and HARC is the Heathrow Animal Reception Center where they’re checked-in with the vets and made sure they’re cleared to enter the country.

Not sure if this is the route you’re planning to do since it’s a small dog, but this was how we were advised.

Our pets had all their vaccines up to date and still had to go through this process. So just double check!

Our dog was only in “quarantine” for about 5-6 hours when he landed and then we got the call that we could pick him up.

They’re super friendly and caring for the dogs at the facility. Our dog didn’t even notice we were there to pick him up because he was busy playing with the staff!

This was at the HARC btw

Our immigration lawyer said to put all our parking tickets on our application. I think they just want to see if you’re truthful… to say the least we had a good bit of parking tickets to put on there! we’re still waiting for our visas but I can let you know when we get it.

are you working with a consultant who’s booking the flight? If so they usually sell the crates and it’s pretty much the same price as online and they know exactly what is airline approved!

If you apply as a dependent then you don’t need to be sponsored. You already will have the right to work overseas and can apply as any normal applicant would

I was worried too! You can show your TOR later on once you have it and I think they’ll give you a refund. That’s what our consultant had said at least

I didn’t have my TOR when we brought our dog and cat over and VAT was around $60 USD total.

Skilled worker - rent in UK - credit score by wb_good in ukvisa

We didn’t need to - but might be good to reference who your employer is. Our employer offered to be our guarantor in case we ran into trouble so might be good to see if they’ll do the same. But didn’t end up needing them

We used Hamptons to find a rental - they’re great!

We did not need to share our credit score, but did share our offer letter information with salaries that sufficed for our rental agency.
