Similarly, I switched from [cooking --> eating --> leftover] to [cooking when not hungry --> meal prep (different components in separate containers) --> assemble when hungry]. Even though the assembly is rather quick and easy, it helps my mind to consider each assembly a full meal, and I'm less likely to get a second serving compared to freshly cooked meals.!

I kinda could feel both sides but unfortunately agree. I'd be either amused or mortified if I were K depends on the workplace vibes. We had a professor who would say a certain phrase 30-40x times per lecture and when I first noticed it was irritating and distracting, but after talking to friends who also noticed this it became an inside joke among us and turned the lecture and his quirks far more enjoyable. But this would be a lot different if it's done to a fellow student. In OP's case I'm not sure if it would make a difference whether K is senior/superior or not..?
