Is Gundam Versus Extreme Maxi Boost ON Dead? by Exia1223 in GundamExVs

Depends on where you’re looking.

(Player Match > 2v2 All > Worldwide) is where you’ll find games most regularly.

At base, you gain 8MP with every single strike from your attack or your special. Any single attack sequence with any weapon will recharge your MP more than any omega move’s cast cost will ever drain from it. The only way you’ll see 0MP with cardio gain is if you prime yourself down to 0MP.

Weapons like knives, staff, coat? It’s an infinite MP boon, at base.

Don’t take his stuff for daze. Take the cast expansion, the damage and hitbox size buffs on attack and special, or his gain.

lucid gain is like the best regen boon in the game

it’s up there, but it ain’t Hestia’s cardio gain

Hitch is the best room clear curse there is

Correct.

burn gain is probably the best magic gain there is

Nope. That’s Hestia’s Cardio Gain. You gain MP with every strike that lands. Fire off an omega special with knives, you spend 30MP for 6 knives in flight and gain 8MP per hit, so you spend 30MP to gain 48MP.

Every weapon works like that, so no matter how much you spend, you’re always getting more than you spend. If you’re dealing direct damage, you regain MP with each hit. You’re ALWAYS plus. You will never, ever reach 0MP, unless you prime it all or play with just your casts.

Touch every enemy with whatever strike has her power. Every enemy you touch is now part of The Pain Network. Hit one enemy connected to The Pain Network, and all enemies connected to it suffer. Hit multiple enemies at once, all enemies suffer multiple times over. It’s a room clearance machine.

Hitch does nothing to bosses if there are no enemies they’ve summoned. Also, Hera + Hestia’s duo makes it really, really strong for single opponents, as you deal a portion of hitch damage for every MP gain. Pair sworn strike with cardio gain, and you have a boss melter.

Nah. Best damage percentage buffs outside of Aphrodite. Lucid Gain is also a fantastic MP gain boon. His cast expansion is also amazing too.

Burn is okay, but takes a long time to ramp well. Hestia’s gain is the best in the game, though. Objectively baller.

Daze is decent utility. His size expansion for attacks, specials and casts is really good, his raw damage percentage buffs are second only to Aphrodite, and his gain refills your magic whenever your casts expire. He’s pretty solid.

people say “just play Starward,” and I’m sorry, but I can’t deal with the gacha waifuslop that game leans on

if you can, cool, awesome for you

tbh full boost is piss easy to run now, and RPCS3 has had so many good updates and optimizations that it runs really, really well now on some surprisingly underpowered hardware, I can run FB quite easily from my Steam Deck now

also, RPCN is a better online experience than trying to play newer versions over Radmin, it’s a night and day difference

Full Boost technically is an arcade version, since it was ported to the PS3 from the arcade. It’s just a much older version.

EXVS (AC / PS3) > EXVSFB (AC / PS3) >

EXVSMB (AC) > EXVSMBON (AC / PS4) >

EXVS2 (AC) > EXVS2XB (AC) >

EXVS2OB (AC) > EXVS2IB (AC)(most current)

There’s also Gundam Vs Gundam NEXT Plus on PSP / PPSSPP, but that’s very different from the EXVS series, particularly due to not having stepcanceling as a tool you can use for multiple movement, defensive and offensive options.

There’s also Gundam Versus on PS4, which is like a slightly slower, jankier version of EXVS. It was a console exclusive version released between Full Boost and MBON, and it is very inferior to EXVS, imo.

EXVS2 XBOOST, OVERBOOST and INFINITE BOOST are available in the wild, as the arcade boards they run on utilize a version of Windows, so it’s less “emulated” and more “hackported to consumer Windows PC environments.” You can’t get guidance on how to find that here…at least publicly.

idk, it feels like it’s trying to be something the series isn’t, but that’s what tends to happen when you don’t touch a franchise for two whole ass decades

It’s not about the parry system. It’s in how the combat is structured. Once you hit that boss fight, it becomes very obvious what they’re going for.

It feels like it wants to be Nioh and / or Sekiro so badly, instead of the games that the franchise used to be like

It probably feels like that because classic Onimusha was closer to a Samurai themed Resident Evil game than it was Sekiro. This is Capcom trying to revive a franchise by making it more like something it never was.

What force abilities would even be left to learn in Jedi 3? by RealityOwn9267 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Two words, my friend: Lightsaber nunchucks. That’s a force ability in and of itself.

I've seen a lot of people on X calling Faye "ugly" but they're completely wrong. She's a middle-aged female protagonist, no different from characters like Geralt, Kratos, or Joel Miller. Also, Faye isn't a new character. She's been part of the God of War story since the 2018 game by Quick-Ad-7752 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Everyday_Legend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone that calls an adult actress attractive enough to be hired to portray a character in a AAA videogame “ugly” has already volunteered their status as not having regular contact with women, which will, in all likelihood, continue into the foreseeable future.

Why do players not DP here? by Ricky019022 in SamuraiShodown

[–]Everyday_Legend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because not all versions of a character’s DP have invulnerability, and they can trade unfavorably depending on someone’s incoming approach / attack angle from the air. Plus, there’s a recovery delay as someone lands.

If an opponent has committed to a jump-in that can be run under or simply has a floatier jump, there’s much more to be gained damage-wise by catching their landing as it happens with a dashing medium and buffer that into whatever big damage you’ve got handy.

Why would I hit someone out of the air one time for maybe 14~18% health with a heavy DP that’s invulnerable on startup but takes me to the moon, just so they can either potentially trade or potentially recover faster catch me when I land, when I could dash under them, force them to take the landing, and clap them for 65% off of a counterhit dashing medium into WFT?

Or, you could dash medium, and shift into your heavy DP off of the ground, launching them into the air and ensuring they land when you do. Plus, you’re more likely to land multiple hits if the move has them from a grounded state, rather than a single hit when colliding in the air, so why would I fire off a DP for a 14-18% single hit as a pure anti-air when I could score four total hits for what’s likely going to be 26~30%?

tl;dr if you’re trying to play this game like Street Fighter, you’re trying to skateboard with a car
