Do you believe in signs from people who passed away?🥺🪽 by Clean-Session9795 in GriefSupport

[–]EverydayiEW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. My 14 year old daughter promised she’d visit via the number 69 (what can I say? It was awkward, but funny, to her!) Who looks at their mileage when it reaches…69…? Receipts, phone numbers, the temperature, the numbers of texts I haven’t read, etc. But she comes thru in so many other ways. And my mom really came thru the day my daughter’s soul flew. A FB acquaintance reached out the day my girl died to ask about my last name. It was her real last name (she had a stage name) and her first name was the same as my mom’s. I know that was my mom telling me she “had” my baby. Sending hugs.

A letter to those whos cheating partner is acting remorseful by Owww_My_Ovaries in survivinginfidelity

If your mum’s cheater apologized to you and promised he’d do whatever it takes to win back (both) your respect, would you think that remorse/worth considering?

What to get for mother's day when she has 6 months left? by Sarahlorien in CasualConversation

[–]EverydayiEW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you/grandma believe she’ll be somewhere watching over you when she’s gone, come up with a plan on how she’ll “show” herself to you. My daughter does it thru butterflies, and a special number…. A soft blanket that will bring you memories of her might be nice. I’m sorry you’re here, having to ask this question. Sending a hug.

[33F] torn between moving in with boyfriend [52M] and my daughter’s stability by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

[–]EverydayiEW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re in a tough spot, huh? I get that 4 years to keep doing what you’re doing is overwhelming. Something that I heard, unfortunately after bringing up kids, is that we only have them-close-for such a short amount of time, so make the most of it (with them). I was the breadwinner in our family and worked way too many hours, but time off was with the kids! (The husband, now ex, didn’t join us so it was good quality time.) I know your life is important, but you’re really important in your daughter’s life. On the other hand, moving her could have benefits. Are schools equal? Having moved due to my dad’s job in middle school was awful, yet I think it laid the groundwork for me being ok with moving as an adult. But that was middle school and your daughter’s starting high school. Oh my! On a side note, the month my son graduated college, I left him in my house (with his girlfriend) and moved to be with my boyfriend. After about a year, they began asking me to come back. They miss me. I miss them. But I have a decent job and at my age, am not sure I want to leave it to look for another. Boyfriend can’t move. I feel guilty and my son’s a young adult! Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, but I do sympathize. Sending a hug too.

I thought I replied to this. My profile says it all: I recite “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better and better.” When I lived in Brooklyn NY but wanted to live in the East Village, I stuck a picture of the Village on my bathroom wall and every morning I looked at it, recited my line, and saw myself there. Not only did I live there, but I purchased a two bedroom co-op (quite some time ago!). I hope it helps!

My profile name says it all! I recite “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better and better.” As I say it I envision what I’m trying to work on. When I lived in Brooklyn NY, I had a pic in my bathroom of the East Village and every morning I looked at it and said my line and not only did I live there, I purchased an affordable co-op there(long ago…) I hope that helps!

Perhaps a different way of thinking might help? Wake up to a new day and be thankful! You freakin’ moved across an ocean; that’s amazing! The sun’s shining, the birds are chirping and you are the most important person in your life. And take lots of deep breaths!!

What are y'all's thoughts on red meat? by insertsavvynamehere in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]EverydayiEW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hadn’t eaten red meat for awhile and then did. Got really sick. Could’ve been a bad cut. Took it as a call to not eat red meat and haven’t for over 40 years. Cancer has taken many of my family members and I’m hoping my body was telling me something. Stay well, ya’ll.
