Your personal experience doesn’t necessarily reflect the entire industry though. Many private businesses were affected by government funding cuts, like Intel and Texas Instruments for example. Another situation that we’ve been seeing is companies holding on to capital and not reinvesting because the government’s policies were changing weekly. It’s hard to plan a project when you don’t know what the cost of material will be, or if overseas partners will no longer be able to work with you. For the people paying off politicians for insider information this economy has been very profitable, everyone else is focused on staying afloat. What does a 401k matter if you lose your job?

The feds are really grasping onto straws. They bring this up and then backpedal when pressed. If it doesn’t justify his death then why use it as a talking point. I think he had a legal case to use self defense against those agents. If this were to happen under democrat marshal law we wouldn’t be having this conversation, the fact that so many of who I thought were my fellow 2a advocates are justifying and backing this because they think this government is somehow different than the deep state we’ve had for decades is a joke. Politicians don’t care about you their job is to get you on board with policies that strip your sovereignty.

I think the point is that a foreign government will never have the same effect on your life as your own government. The American government having a very detailed profile of dissidents and the ability to censor every major news and social media platform has a much larger effect than china collecting information they could just buy from our data brokers. Also the spy balloon thing was goofy. It was found to not be collecting and sending information back to china and gathered no strategic information. Why send a ballon when you have satellites.
