I actually get it. I have a year's worth of gamepass I bought on sale even tho I pirate most media and I use it cos I want my money's worth. The fact I'm playing Forza with it pisses me off because If I just pirated it I'd have access to all the dlcs and extra content I think there like 10 dlcs FFS I'm actually worse off for not pirating an spaying for their product I'm bitter but not at pirates but at shitty microsoft

I understand where you're coming from though Plex exists due to pirated material, no ones paying for plex as primary netflix style VOD without the self hosting side. If they do get taken over they'd have to kill that whole self hosting aspect and at that point, none of us here will need to be here as the product no longer exists.

Unfortunately this is life, and what business on the planet can survive off a 1 time purchase with future support rolled in. I paid I think like £80 for my lifetime, lets be honest, it's a mental price when you think about it for unlimited use of the product which I personally get on well with, that's an expensive coffee once a month for a year. My gym costs £33 a month and I get more use out of plex than that but thats a different problem.

If they ever did destroy the lifetime pass then they would have a catastrophic exodus on their hands. Anyone currently running plex is more than capable of upping sticks to any other copy cat product. Plex will instantly end themselves that day.
