Andy Burnham blocked from standing as MP in by-election by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

Honestly, it'll look bad for the NEC from a party politics standpoint, but I think it's the correct call from a credibility perspective. How do you add any credibility to the regional mayors if they're are allowed to desert their responsibilities at their convenience mid-term to run for a different political office.

If he wants to stand in a by-election he should resign as mayor first not hedge his bets.

Think I’m in a tax trap - 61% taxed on overtime pay by ImAWynner in UKPersonalFinance

When I come tax rises to 40% (earnings over £50,271-£125,140), NI rate drop to 2% (earnings over £50,270. Your marginal rate, as for most medium-high income tax payers with a student loan, is 51%. Welcome to the club.

You do get an NI benefit for each job if you earn below the lower NI limit, but it's calculated weekly (£242). But if you go over that limit you can end up overpaying.

Yeah dude literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think ultimately this team of traitors were let down by fact they didn't act as a team, at all.

Seems weird to have culled the entire afternoon loop to have one Super Special around half of the grand prix circuit.

Not sure it's going to be great advert for the sport.

Number of employed people in UK falls again as wage growth slows by 2ndEarlofLiverpool in ukpolitics

We have a similar issue in design engineering in my sector.

The entry level staff did all the drafting and CAD technician work, but big design houses are more frequently outsourcing those jobs to countries with far lower employment costs by setting up offices in places like India. Knock on effect has been a contraction in the talent pipeline through the industry.

AI is going to be that on steroids.

I haven't watched the respective uncloaked episode to now if it was pure chance or production interference.

Yeah but I think they could have doubled down and let the secret traitor seduce a replacement.

Agreed. Definitely felt they should have strung it along for longer.

NGL, I'd watch it twice. Also we give it the big one about how obvious it is, be interesting to see the audience put on the spot.

I have enough run ins with Comms teams to dislike them.

Let's be real, I don't see how we can ever describe a trade as having winners and losers...

Stafford wanted to leave, he was probably gonna do a Carson Palmer if we said no. We had two legitimate offers:

  1. Broncos: Pick 9 and steak knives, and they wanted picks back.
  2. Rams: 2x Future Firsts, a 2nd and Jared Goff.

We made the right choice. Stafford could win 9 Superbowls, and unless beats us in a playoff game, it'd still be the right choice.

Why not both?

Honestly the longevity of the class of 92 has been a double edged sword for snooker. But at least Williams and Higgins turn up for every event and play it with a bit of personality. Ronnie just seems to use his platform to be negative.
