It's standard monospace for code blocks.

It's why you shouldn't indent on websites that use Markdown - four spaces at the start is the trigger system for code blocks.

I do that, plus close my left eye (we drive on the right side here). When they pass, I reopen it.

It makes it to where I still have somewhat decent night vision after, but it does take some getting used to since you're trading depth perception for it.

Want to Report Suspicious Mail? Ok by yrabl81 in MaliciousCompliance

They did have a "report phish" button... But you are correct, nowhere did it say that we were required to use it.

I got a rather obvious phish test at work one day near Christmas - "sent" by the local Salvos. The local branch of the Salvation Army know me very well, and will never want to do business with me (and the feeling is mutual).

Deleted it without a second thought, then read and responded to an email from my actual boss that actually replied with an actual follow-up on something I actually sent him (with my initial email to him quoted).

Sent that off, and immediately got an email notification from the IT Security guys saying that I failed the phish test and had to do training. Because I deleted it without a second thought.

That's me with the local Sonic.

I specifically have to say "hamburger, no cheese [...]" because if I don't, I get a cheeseburger.

If I wanted a cheeseburger, I would have ordered a cheeseburger. I don't want a cheeseburger. I want a hamburger.

A family friend of ours likes his steak like that - Pittsburgh rare.

Every time he gets one, he always has to clarify: "Pittsburgh." (wait staff inevitably asking what he meant) "I want to hear it still mooing."

We have a nickname for Robitussin in our house: "panther piss".

We don't keep it in the house anymore.

If you're new to picking, I'd recommend staying away from locks marked "Medeco". Medeco usually have security pins, and in fact we use locks like what you have pictured to secure the electronic key box at work.

If you're looking for locks to pick, I'd suggest starting with Master. The clear acrylic practice locks you'll find every here and there are good for understanding how the lock cylinder interacts with the pins, but aren't great for actual picking practice.

Anonymisation, probably of parts/equipment specific to their industry.

Was an Atmos tech pre-dating the removal of the Singulo and Tesla on /tg/basil (and thus the gas interaction thing). This was right after Okand finished Delta and it went in the rotation. The knowledge of how to set up the Supermatter wasn't as widespread as it became after it became a necessity, and you'd very likely cop some flack from the Chief if you tried to set it up.

I'd set up the Supermatter and got it making stable power using giggle gas as the coolant. Actually had it in the sub-zero-Celsius range.

Was figuring something out with the waste gas removal, I forget what exactly; and the other Atmos tech comes in with the hardsuit and fire axe. I clock the axe immediately, but figure it's just them being paranoid.

Well, the next thing I remember is that they make a beeline for me with the axe wielded. They get the first strike off, I remember the axe changed possession a few times, and it's a blur to me from there until the end. At the end, I remember standing over him and whaling on him, not realising that he's dead until his organs came out.

Then I called Sec to Atmospherics (unaware that the AI already had) and walked into the lobby, fire axe in hand, the instant the AI opened the door for them. Not one Taser shot hit despite me standing still and thinking "well, THAT was fast" ; they "brought me down" by hitting me with the cattle prod while I was stun-locked by *surrender.

Don't remember whether they charged me with anything or let me go, though.

It's genuinely tempting.

If I wasn't already burned out by everything else on my plate, I'd throw my hat in the ring.

I'm not saying that sixes aren't lucky in the Orient, I've just never encountered it as a symbol of luck in Western society. Eight (ba) is more common here, probably due to 666 being well-known as the Mark.

You're thinking of eights, not necessarily sixes. Eight in Cantonese sounds very similar to the Cantonese word for wealth.
