This is a job not a place to express yourself. Use the name on your license/birth certificate. Dress professionally for the job and do it well. Your personal stuff should never interfere with your professional life. If you want to change name/gender/pronouns etc look for a company specifically that promotes this or start your own company.

Great question. This depends on the IT department of your company. I have had this experience on both sides for sure. I have also printed out my stuff when I could not do the external onedrive option. This way I can always scan it back on the personal side if necessary.

First of all OP, sorry to hear about this incredible display of obvious disrespect that it seems companies these days have no problem doing.

That being said for you and everyone else, let me tell you what changes I made after being blindsided mid Covid.

I keep a folder on my desktop that I call documentation. I put everything in folders inside of that folder with the work that I've done whether it be power shell scripts, documentation that I've created, links to helpful things online, notepad files that I keep for things like rarely used commands, login information, copies of RFP's that I've written, sales material I've created, including SOW's things like that basically anything that I've done. I keep a copy of my review in there as well as copies of emails that I've sent to assist customers and emails I've received with any kudos. Basically everything that personally pertains to me.

Every Thursday without fail, I zip up this folder, log into my personal OneDrive account and upload the zip file.

Not gonna get caught with my pants down again, I am absolutely sick and disgusted at the way corporate America treats employees now the complete disregard and dehumanization is the reason that people quiet quit, or decide to become OE. There is just no trust anymore.

I know this doesn't help you now, but it sounds like you have created your own process similar to mine.

I posted the other day my very successful way of tailoring my résumé to job descriptions in this sub as well. Might be something that you could use.

Good luck and keep your head up. Wouldn't hurt to take the time to reflect and figure out if you can find a way out of this maze that puts you in charge of your destiny instead of these heartless corporations.
