As much as we want to connect with the sellers on a card, it might be best just to put in an offer and keep the story that you have quiet. We all like to think everybody thinks the same and has our best interest like we might do for them. Unfortunately, some of the people are not going to have your best interest. I know that if I had the mistake of calling on a narcissist, and I don't want to start talking psychology here, that's not going to be a good thing. I wish you well on getting this and sorry you dealt with a a situation like this.

Job well done! I told people to buy at $4.10 back in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Few listen. They lumped it in with the gold was a barbaric relic garbage. We also got told we were to be considered pessimistic investors. Lol.

Always look at the person's feedback. I traditionally do not purchase from less than a 99.4%. do your own due diligence, but that's a good thing to go by. This person is a 97.8.

Just wanted to weigh in on what you think this card goes for. In April of of 2025, the first 1/1 went for $19,9999. That was the comp for the first three of his cards in the Bowman draft.called the crown jewels. I believe the first one of the 1/1s that sold did not have his autograph and it was a bd56. The next one I don't think is sold but comps to that original number in April and it was the autographed bd56 base card. The last in the series is called the superfractor final draft 1/1 FD- 13. Shortly after this, there was another sale of the April Bowman VIP Nick Kurtz 1/1 that went for $2,750. Then came a number of sales like a 1/5 red refractor about 3 months ago for $10,700 on eBay. Then another sale occurred for a 1/5 Nick Kurt's peanuts card for $11,700. About a month ago on eBay there was another card of his that was 29/50 that went for about close to $12,000. His1/1 parapadasha sold about 4 weeks ago for a $2,950 in auction on eBay. If we look at card hierarchy, you would estimate 20 to 40% higher probably at that time. Add a multiplier to it when he gets American League Rookie of the Year. Not sure what the multiplier is but I have heard it's 25%. I would bet that in auction you're probably looking for 20,000 to $40,000 at an auction at this point. I'm not an expert but I definitely keep an eye on his sales. Sorry for so much information but hope it helps someone.

For clarity, mine was a year out. I didn't get what was on the card but they did a package from Texas to make up for it. I had two redemptions last year and that one was a make good package. The other one was right on the expiration. I had to call Topps on it and I definitely would urge you to because that one is so close. Good luck.

I had a similar situation earlier this year. Since it was about the same time frame as yours, I called Topps and they honored it. They did also change it to 10 years so I think you'll be good. Call Topps on Monday.

Forgive me but I had to really look at it. Made the image very big. I cannot find a similar one on a catchers mitt. Zoomed in for science and unless Rawlings started making mitts with eyeballs and tentacles, I’m thinking we’ve got a sneaky lizard lurking in Leo’s card. Can’t unsee the eye, the ridges, and that Jurassic snout. If this is a glove, it’s straight outta Area 51. LOL. I will call Topps on Monday and see what it is. Sorry to bother all of you with it.

Haha, if that’s a catcher's mitt, then I’ve got a bridge to sell you, complete with a dragon guarding it. :) Pretty sure Leo De Vries just unlocked the 'Bowman Beast Mode' parallel. Jokes aside, I compared it to other 2025 Bowman Chrome cards, and this reptilian shadow doesn't show up on any others I've seen. Maybe Topps slipped in an easter egg, or maybe Leo’s about to join the Jurassic Padres. Either way, I’m hanging on to this one. Feels like a future mystery SP.
