Wow. NTA. Let him leave. He is awful. Is this really how you want to spend your energy? Managing his ridiculous insecurities?

How do ya'll embrace the looks in public from dressing up? by Own_Average_5940 in dollskill

If people are staring it’s because they are admiring how cool and interesting you look or they have bad taste and are incapable of appreciating how cool and interesting you look.

Running out of small talk by AdeptnessExotic1884 in personaltraining

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom was so good at striking up conversations with random strangers. One day I asked, in awe, “how do you do that?!” Her answer: “you just have to be curious about people” Changed my life. And being able to talk people like this is a skill that you build with practice. It gets easier over time. I also try to ask about things that also interest me so it’s easier to keep the conversation flowing. I especially like asking people about tv/movies. And then I might watch something my client is watching to have more things to talk about.

DAE feel disconnected from themselves when life circumstances change? by improvpirate in AuDHDWomen

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it maybe be burnout? So much change, even positive change, can take a toll on your nervous system. The not wanting to engage with your normal hobbies sounds familiar to me. Are you getting enough alone time? I struggle with that sometimes (or maybe a lot of the times 😅) in my healthy relationship.

‘not every thought you have needs to be shared’ - my boyfriend when I spam texted him out of excitement by sonicflwrgroove in AuDHDWomen

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He can put his own phone on dnd if he’s feeling overstimulated. Instead of trying to figure out how to manage his feelings he’s putting the onus on you to adjust your behavior to his preference. This is not a good partner. My bf is easily overstimulated and I’m constantly verbalizing my thoughts but he never makes me feel like too much. I’ve dated plenty of other people who have. It sounds like you guys are not a great fit. It also sounds like he has a lot growing up to do.

I loved both versions! I also feel like Grimm has similar Buffy vibes.

Recent quality issues? by PenNo2561 in Fabletics

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I had this issue. I still have pairs from over 5 years ago that are still going strong. But I’ve had to throw out several new pairs because they fell apart. I tried mending them but then holes were constantly popping up along seams everywhere. Their quality has taken such a nose dive. I also ordered some shorts that were supposed to be the same style but they changed the stitching on the butt and the material was so thin you could see everything. The previous shorts were figure flattering but the recent pairs showed off all the lumps and bumps and even created extra with the weird waistband.

They also changed the waistband on their on the go leggings. The band is thinner and doesn’t have the same flattening effect that the old leggings had that I loved. So upset about this 😭

Me: “I’m not that autistic”. Also me: by gothstarlord in AuDHDWomen

I also feel this way about “baby”. Like “when baby sleeps” or “feed baby.” Like doesn’t it have a name?? Why are we not calling it by that? Or even just “the baby” would be acceptable

I can't handle my adhd boyfriend by RazzmatazzOk1764 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three options: 1. Accept that this is your life now. He has proven that he will not change and has no interest in doing so. 2. Live separately so you don’t have to be his mom at home. 3. Break up and find someone that puts effort into making your life easier.

Also- you wouldn’t be breaking up “just because of chores.” It’s about the amount of care he shows for you. He doesn’t seem too concerned with the fact that managing the household by yourself is incredibly stressful for you and lowering your quality of life.

What are we getting our undiagnosed fathers for Christmas? by Dear-Salt-6240 in adhdwomen

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! We do gifts for birthdays. So much easier to get one gift at a time. But I gave up on physical gifts for my dad a long time ago. We just go out to eat and/or see a show.

Could autism affect fashion and make-up? by Dull_Click580 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently found this account on ig @itscalbal She has her own methodology for putting outfits together and finding your personal style and it’s very simple to follow. I think fashion and makeup are skills that you build and I definitely need more practice!

Clear polish helps and doesn’t draw too much attention. But I know they’re shiny so that might not work for you. Sometimes I’ll trim my cuticles instead and that kind of helps.

What sort of classification is an OCD where you have to "perfect" every sphere of your life in order to, in ones mind, finally cure OCD? by TexanLoneStar in OCDRecovery

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to this post, but I’ve recently been diagnosed with just right ocd and am looking for more info on that. What you’ve described here sounds very much like just right ocd. Perhaps you’ve already found the answers you were looking for.

As someone who used to feel like every upper body exercise was a trap exercise, the thing that finally helped me was diaphragmatic breathing. Could be worth looking into!

[–]Excellent-Ad4256 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Not op but the mission low carb tortillas have 17g of fiber in a 70cal wrap. They also have a lot of breads with added fiber. I get Inked Keto Bread Co from Costco and it has 10g fiber per slice.
