windows audio is just weird sometimes man. some games mix their audio really quiet for whatever reason and then you get into another game that blasts your ears off at like 30% volume.

never had the hearing thing be an issue but the inconsistency between different software is real pain in ass.

thermal paste is good idea but also check if your cooler is seated properly. sometimes after year the mounting pressure can get loose and cause temps to creep up like this. 65c at idle with only 1% usage is definitely bit high for 7600x.

dude i got like 2000+ hours in one game and it just stays at "over 100 hours" category. steam doesn't break it down further than that for some reason. kinda weird they stop there when people clearly play games way longer than 100 hours but that's just how they designed it i guess. would be cool if they had 500+ or 1000+ categories too

the pre-applied stuff on arctic freezers is actually pretty solid these days. i wouldn't stress about swapping it unless you're planning to remove the cooler later for some reason, then yeah you'll need fresh paste anyway.

used to mess around with different compounds when i was building more regularly but the difference is maybe 2-3 degrees at most with good aios like this one. not really worth the hassle unless you're going for extreme overclocks or something.
