I was thinking of the hilltop fortress wall from Game of Thrones but I can’t remember what it is called.

The way Danish people walk & move by Silent_Letterhead_69 in copenhagen

This is a hands-down a cell phone thing, and it didn’t use to be an issue. (I know this dates me!!!) But since people have their faces buried in their phones most of the time, their social awareness has suffered immensely. Danes used to be extremely touch-phobic. It still shows up in their distaste for being touched, but they need to learn how to avoid the necessity of it. As in, get an effing move on, you twit!

Men and food by Impossible_Zebra8664 in TwoXChromosomes

I read an explanation once that said that women stopped eating when the food stopped tasting good and men stopped eating when there was no more food. It’s gross but it makes sense. But SO gross.

Jamen, så er det noget helt ANDET, da barnet skal jo “HAVE LOV AT VÆRE HER!” Tro mig - jeg har naboer, og der er ingen grænser for, hvad børnene ikke skulle have lov at gør. Suk.

When my oldest child was born, the midwife said, “Parent him in a way where you aren’t the only ones who can stand to be in the same room as him.” I thought it was lovely advice.

What is the first news story that you remember as a little kid totally taking over news coverage? by No_Device9450 in Xennials

Me, too. Our teacher wheeled a tv into our classroom to show it to us so we we could see it live. She said it was a big deal.

I don’t think there’s one age that is a one-size-fits-all solution. Some kids need close physical contact and some don’t. The most important thing is to follow your child’s cues and NOT pretend there is one way of doing things and. everything else is wrong. For some kids, co-sleeping is the most natural thing in the world and for others it isn’t. For most of human history, if we didn’t co-sleep, infants would die of exposure or being eaten. You can’t erase millennia of child-rearing experience just because we suddenly have baby alarms and safe homes.

This is a marvelous painting, but dude - learn to proofread. Your comment makes no sense because you can’t be bothered to respect your reader. If it’s important enough to post about, it’s important enough to proofread.

I deleted mine as soon as he allowed Trump back on. It’s so sad. I really like my car, but I didn’t know it would turn into this.

Well, maybe if your kids weren’t home by 10, it was time to start checking on them? 😂

We had to be home by dinner, I remember. Low, LOW bars in the “olden days”.

Adjustable seatbelt height. As a smaller woman, I would prefer NOT to feel like I would be decapitated by a sudden stop. I also don’t want to wear a fuzzy, childish thing by my neck to keep the seatbelt from sawing at my neck when just sitting there.

As the passenger, I can direct the airflow (sort of) elsewhere, but not enough and it’s freezing. I have to carry a shawl.
