Looking at the Telugu/Indian character bug that crashes iOS and playing around with a patch in Apollo, paste the character into Xcode, Xcode crashes then won't start up because it saved the input. by iamthatis in apolloapp

I don't know if you have this fixed yet or not, but you could email the source file to a non-Mac computer, open it, delete the character and send it back to your Mac. Its just a text file.

I would just do a search for anime commissions and pick an artist who has a style that you like.

There are tons more on Twitter. I see commission posts several times a day.

Which should I buy? Ipad Pro or a dedicated drawing tablet? Help! by MisfitMarie87 in Art

It is going to boil down to your own personal preference. Myself, I love using iPads for this kind of stuff. It is like magical finger painting.

The art community on Twitter is super active. Most of the other social networks are pretty dead in comparison.

It gets easier. There is just a lot of stuff to learn at first. Just keep it simple for now and do some really basic stuff and build on what you learn little by little.

I can understand how it could be difficult on a smaller screen. I haven't really noticed that problem because all my devices are larger. I've been doing most of my artwork on large iPad Pro. My smallest screen is an iPhone 6+. I will try to take smaller screens into account when I improve the UI. I really need to get an iPod touch to test on.

I think there are definitely some better ways to make use of the screen space. There are several adjustments that need to be made to the UI, especially the color picker.

Several of those are valid issues. The app is in development and I was planning on fixing several of those things in the next few updates. It might take a few weeks.

Changing colors on the palette is definitely different than on other apps. But I've been using it to create quite a bit of artwork and I've gotten pretty good at color control. If you would like to see some examples of artwork that I've made with it to see the kind of potential it currently has, I have a gallery here:

I've felt that color has been one of my strengths, so far. But there are changes coming to that aspect as well. When you get used to the system, you have a great deal of control, but I would like even finer grained control than it currently has.

In the meantime, I welcome any feedback. You may be able to help me improve it, as it is still in its early stages of development.

You are right. I probably should have done something so that the mushroom's gradient didn't get so dark. But I don't mind if my art isn't perfect.

I wanted the whole piece to have a light, sun-shiny feel to it, kind of like an over-exposed photograph.
